*5 months later*
It has been 3 months since we both have had the boys. The are well and everything has been going good. But lately Emma has been going to the bar a lot and drinking. She would come home drunk and violent sometimes.
"Regina! I'm home!" Emma slurred
"Go to bed! I'm tired of putting up with this drinking crap!" I yelled at her
"What did you say!?" Emma yelled back
"Nothing just go to bed please! I don't want the kids to see you like this!" I said
She knows I don't like it when she gets drunk because she gets violent when I'm not around.
*the next morning*
"Oh my.. I have a massive headache!" Emma said cringing
"Well maybe you should stop drinking!" I sassed back
"You know what! I am a free woman and I'm under a lot of pressure! I'm the sheriff and I'm always busy! Maybe I need freedom! And that means drinking once and a while!" Emma said
"And you don't think I'm under pressure?! I have to take care of 4 kids and run this town! It's a lot harder than you think!" I yelled
"I can't handle you nagging at me!" Emma yelled
"Then leave!" I yelled
"No! Don't tell me what to do!" Emma said
Next thing I knew she had punched me in the face and I was running up stairs.
I ran up stairs got dressed and left. I didn't say a word. I just cried. Emma sat on the floor crying also.
I tried covering up the redness which will soon turn into a bruise.
I stayed in my office all day. I cancelled all appointments. I didn't go home because I didn't want to deal with Emma. I called Henry and told him to help her and he promised me he would.
I was hungry so I went to Granny's. I put my hood on tried to hide my face. I ate in the corner and tried to keep my peace. But then Belle saw me.
"Regina! Are you okay?" She asked
I looked up and she saw my bruise. Her mouth dropped.
"Who did this to you!!" She asked
"If I tell you, you can't tell anyone." I said
"I won't! I swear!" She said
"Emma. We got in a fight and she got mad." I said
"I'm so sorry! You and the kids can stay with me for as long as you need!" She said
"Thank you Belle. You are so helpful even after everything I've done to you." I said
"That was the past and I can tell you have changed." She said
