It was midnight and you were waiting for the hospital to call, "Ugh why did they Have to plan this in the middle of the night?" You complain to Niall as you lie on the couch watching TV while rubbing your belly. You were wearing Nialls sweatpants, an oversized tee shirt and hoodie, and your Ugg slippers. You felt since you were going to have a baby you didn't have to get dressed up. You typically wear your contacts but since you were extra lazy and new you were going to take naps you chose to wear your glasses. Your hair was in a messy bun and you had no makeup on. "I don't know babe but our kids will soon be here and healthy at home with us and we don't have to worry about the paparazzi following us," he says right as his phone rings. "I hope we don't have to worry about the paparazzi," you said sarcastically as Niall answers the phone. He talked for about 2 minutes and then he hung up. "its the hospital, they are ready for us," he said as He grabs your hospital bag and pillow and get into the car. You had not bothered to go and buy a new duffle bag so you used on of Niall's old Nike ones. "I'm so nervous Ni," you said as you held his hand in the car. "It's going to be alright y/n," he said reassuringly. When you arrive you get out of the car and walk into the hospital. "They always know when to find is, it's crazy. And we didn't tell anyone but family and friends we were getting induced." You said as you walked through the crowd of paparazzi. "They have there ways," Niall said. They took a bunch of photos and asked questions like no tomorrow. "Ew I look gross now there will be gross pics of me all over the Internet. Why did you have to be famous ugh?" You told Niall sarcastically. You ignored them and walked inside the hospital to check in at the maternity ward and wait for your room. You get into your gown and you settle into your room." Here you go Ms. Horan," the nurse says as she hooks you up to the monitors for the heartbeat. "If you need anything just press the red button on the remote. The doctor will be here in 10 minutes to check on you." "Ok thank you," you said to the nurse. She left and Niall came by your side. " I love you babe, why don't you try and rest a bit before they break your water and start the pitocin ." He says as you nod. You start to fall asleep as Niall called all the family and updated them. He called your mom and she was on her way with your dad . When you wake up your doctor came in to check on you."the babies look fine and the condition seems to be lessening. The kidneys look more developed since the last time I saw you. They are practically fully developed so, I'm going to break your water now," he says and puts your feet into the stirrups on the bed. "this won't hurt but you may feel a little Bit of pressure." He says as Niall holds you hand. "That is what it will feel like when you are in Walmart and your water breaks," the doctor said as he finishes up. he gives you the IV and the he puts the pitocin through the IV. "I will come back to check on you in 60 minutes, you are currently dilated to a 1. The medicine should help you dilate. I suggest you get some rest and try to walk around a bit in the hallway. Contractions will start to pick up soon and will gradually get stronger. If you need anything just press the button." The doctor said as he left. Your family gets there and you chatted for a good 25 minutes before You took a nap and walked around some stopping for one contractions. Your dad and Niall helped you walk throughout the hospital while you had contractions. "Oh that was a painful one, ow, ow, ow!" You cried as you held onto your dads hand and Niall rubbed your back. "You've got his baby," your dad said as you cried through another contraction. You went back to your room and the doctor checked you. "You are now are at a 2," he did as he threw his gloves away. "We can up the pitocin a bit but it may harm the babies kidneys if we do too much so we will monitor it closely. too much pitocin could inflate there kidneys to a dangerous size." "Ok thank you doctor!" Niall said. 2 hours later you were taking a nap when the doctor came back to check you again. "Tell me I'm at least a 4," you said to the doctor. "Looks like you are still only at a 2," he said. "We can wait a few more hours but I think this may lead to a c section since you have already been here for 3 1/2 hours. You need to be at a 10 to be ready to push but if that does not happen in 2-3 hours we can't put the babies in more stress." "Ok thanks," you say as he leaves trying not to cry. "Niall I don't want a c section I want to push my babies out." You say to Niall as you start to cry. "Babe it's going to be ok you will dilate and push them out. And if that does not happen you will be strong," he said as he hugged you and climbed into the bed with you. You both took a nap and you went on another walk. The doctor came back and checked you again. "You are still at a 2 Mrs. Horan, I think the best option for you and the babies safety is to do a c section. If we wait any longer the babies could go into distress and need an emergency c-section. You could eventually dilate to a 10 and then push them out but they are slim chances of that happening. An emergency c section is also more dangerous. This will help them be in less stress and you most likely won't dilate enough to push them out." The doctor said as he sat down. "many people your height have a hard time dilating because you have such a small figure since you are only 5 feet tall." "Oh, ok if that's what's best for the babies." You said as tears started to stream down your face. He talked with you and Niall for 20 minutes about what was going to happen during the c section and before and after it as well. You and Niall asked about a zillion questions before he left. Then they prepped you for the c section. He gave Niall some scrubs to put on and a hair net for you."how do I look?" Niall said as he posed as a model and you laughed. "gorgeous darling," you said as he posed some more. There were at least 5 nurses and doctors in the room at once getting you ready for surgery. Once everything was ready you said goodbye to your family and They wheeled you down to surgery. "I'm so nervous Ni, what if something goes wrong with the babies?" You said with a worried look on your face. "Everything is going to be fine, you have the best doctors, nurses, and hospital. You are in great hands" he said as he kissed you on the lips before they wheeled you in. Niall had to stay out of the room when they gave you the spinal block. Niall sat outside the room and waited for 30 mins till they were done. "Mr. Horan you can come in now," one of the scrub nurses said as she opened the door. "Great thanks, how is she doing?" Niall asked as he walked in. "She's great we are about to start," she said giving him a stool to sit on. "Your gona do great babe!" Niall said as he kissed your forehead. "I love you Niall." You said as you kissed his hand holding yours. They laid you down and put up a sheet in front of you so that you would not see the stomach of yourself getting cut open. They let the medicine kick in and then he tested to see if it was working. "Can you feel this? Or this?" Your doctor asked as he poked your stomach. "Yes I just felt those 3 pokes to my stomach. Is everything ok?" you asked worriedly. "Everything is fine it just means the medicine has not fully started to work yet. 10 minutes later your doctor poked you again in the stomach. "Did you feel it that time?" Your doctor asked you. "No not that time, I think the medicine is working" you replied. "Ok great let's begin!" He said. "Scalpel, now." You heard your doctor say as another nurse handed it to him. "your doing great babe," Niall said as he stroked your hand. 10 minutes into the surgery one of the nurses says "Here is baby number 1 a girl," as he showed you the baby."She's beautiful Niall," you said as tears streamed down your face. 3 minutes later the doctor said "here is baby number 2 a boy!" He said as he showed you the baby. You were bawling your eyes out and Niall was tearing up. He left your side to cut the cords And you watched him. They finished stitching you up which took over 30 minutes and they took you back to the recovery room. They handed you the babies and you just sat there with Niall and rested with the babies. 20 minutes later they took the babies to the NICU so they could be treated and checked on and then gave you some medicine and you went back up to your room.
