We had walked through so many small alleys, more than I thought existed in such a diminutive town. Finally, we stopped in front of a brick building that had steps leading towards the back.

Mark had given up on carrying me as soon as we reached the alleys. He probably didn't want to be seen giving a girl a piggy back by his mates.

He led the way up the stairs until we were met with a black painted door with nothing but a eyehole visible. It was creepy in my opinion, but I guess it was perfect for their gang hideout. I mean who would actually come around here looking for them?

He knocked on the door twice and it opened to reveal a boy who look around fourteen years old.

His dark brown hair swept up at the top, sticking up. However, his eyes were what caught my attention. They were a beautiful, eccentric blue that stood out.

I didn't even think it was possible for someone to have such bright blue eyes.

"Hey, you must be Rose." He greeted, with a big, warm smile.

He stepped aside, letting us in.

I smiled in return and replied with, "hey."

"I'm Cody. The guys have told me a lot about you." He said.

"As much as you both would probably like to chit chat with each other, we are here for a reason." Mark interrupted. He had to spoil the mood!

Cody and I glared at him and I immediately knew that me and Cody would become great friends.

Cody led the way into a dining room which contained of Kian, Peter, Ryan, Ava and some other guys whom I had never seen before.

"Finally! What were you two doing for so long?" Ryan complained like a child.

Peter looked between the pair of us suspiciously. "I noticed your dad's truck was not here earlier this morning."

"I didn't think it was any of your businesses what Rose and I do." Mark retorted.

"Oooooo feisty. Trying to impress the girl are we?" A guy I hadn't key before said with a smirk.

"Whatever." Mark muttered and sat down on the only empty chair.

I looked around the table awkwardly, looking for a place to sit.

"You can sit on my lap if you like." Another guy piped up.

My face began to heat up in embarrassment, but luckily Ava came to my rescue.

"You can sit with me." She offered, shuffling up on her chair so there was enough room for us both to sit on.

I quickly sat down and smiled at her gratefully.

"So Mark. You texted and said to have a meeting. What's so urgent?" Kian asked, getting straight to the point.

"Wow, hold your horses. Just because you guys have already met Rose, it doesn't mean we have. At least let us introduce ourselves." One of the other guys said.

"Fine." Kian said in defeat.

Two boys stood up and turned to look at me.

A guy who looked like an older version of Cody decided to go first. "I'm Wesley Davies, but people call me Wes. This idiot is my younger brother," he said whilst ruffling Cody's hair, "and I'm twenty."

Next it was a guy with shaggy, brown hair and brown eyes. He seemed like the chilled back type, who didn't care about his appearance in front of friends.

"My name's Cayden Smith and I'm the oldest of the gang since I'm twenty six."

Once they both finished, I awkwardly replied with, "It's nice to meet you both. I'm Rose."

They smiled in return and sat back down.

"So now back to the reason why we are here." Kian spoke, looking at Mark with impatience.

"Rose and I went to a party last night and Hayden Drift kind of found out that's she apart of the gang. I didn't witness that part, but when I went outside to find Rose, he was dragging her along with him in anger." Mark explained.

Anger flared up within Kian and he stood up, causing his chair to fall to the floor in a loud bang.

"Are you insane! How could you even leave her alone at a party?" He exploded in rage.

"It wasn't his fault." I stated. "I should have been more careful."

"This isn't your fault Rose." Ava said to me. "Mark knew better than to leave you alone at a place like that."

"My fault? I can't babysit her twenty four seven!" He was now glaring daggers at Kian. If looks could kill, Kian would certainly be dead by now.

"Then don't take her to some stupid party!" Kian shouted back.

"Oh so we keep her locked up in this shitty town?"

"You know what I mean! You knew how risky it was, taking her to a party where a RiverWood gang member would have been invited too."

That was enough. They were talking about me as if I was some kid who needed a babysitter.

"I'm right here you know! I don't need Mark looking after me all the time, I'm not a kid. If it wasn't for you lot, I wouldn't even be in this situation right now." As soon as the last sentence left my mouth, I could see regret in the boy's eyes.

"If it weren't for us, you would be in the River Wood gang. They would certainly have marked you as soon as they met you." Kian responded more calmly this time.

"Trust me. We did you a huge favour." Ryan added.

I sighed and closed my eyes for a moment, before reopening them.

"This is just not what I wanted." I finally said with honesty. I didn't come here looking for a gang.

"What's more better than a big family who takes care of one another?" Wes spoke, trying to lighten the mood.

"You are part of our family now. I knew it might be a hard to adjust in this type of gang life, but we are all here if you need us." Cayden added with a warm look in his eyes.

I looked around the table, taking in each and everyone.

They were right. Anyone could see how much they cared about each other.

That's when I realised how glad I was that I'd met them. I was now part of their family.

Hey guys!

Who here ships Rose and Mark?
If you do, what do you think their ship name should be? :)
