Detecting Suspicious Behavior

Talking to Her

"KILONI!!!!!!!!!! KILONI WHERE ARE YOU?!" I shouted into the flames. The hooded person must have spilled gasoline all over the house. I dropped down to my knees as I began to cry and shout her name. Zonnique, Ray, and Prince all came by my side. They were trying to get me off the ground and walk towards the car. Telling me to let her go. "NO NO NO! ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY! I CAN'T LET HER GO! I CAN'T! I CAN'T DO IT JUST LIKE THAT! I-I-I-I-I CAN'T BELIVE THIS!" I screamed through sobs and tears. "KILONI! There was just so much that hasn't been said! There's so much that I wanted to tell her! IT WASN'T LIKE SHE WAS A BAD PERSON! SHE JUST BURST INTO FLAMES!" 

   "Roc relax, I'm fine!" I turned around and saw her, she walked right out of the front door. She was coughing and hacking and was practically covered in ashes. I dropped everything, ran to her, and hugged her as tight as I could. There was no way that I could let go. She was squeezing me just as tight, but kept yelling to let go. But I knew that she wanted me to hold on. 

   "Common you love birds, we have to go." Prince shouted to us over the flaming house. The both of us let go and started to walk towards the car. Then out of nowhere, the car exploded sending us all falling backwards. "FUCK!" We all screamed.

   We couldn't camp out because everything was burning to ashes, we couldn't drive home with out a car. We didn't have any money, we left it in the car. " I guess we have to walk." I said. "WALK?!" everybody said in disbelief. "Nigga I'm not walking." Zonnique said. "The fuck you gonna do? Fly?!" Ray said. 

   "How did you guys get here?" "We took a cab, but we didn't have any money so told the man to drop us off a mile away, jumped out, and ran." Kiloni told us. 

   "Now why the fuck would you do some shit like that? That nigga is gonna call the police because we're near woods." I told them. And just when shit couldn't get any better, we all could police sirens from a distance. "Let's go!" Ray shouted. I picked up all of my stuff and we all ran. We ran further into the woods and the more we ran, the darker it got. Once we got to a distance, we counted each other to make sure that all of us were still in the group. 

   I looked back to where the house was and saw the fire slowly die down. "We have to keep moving." I said. "Why?" Prince asked. "There's a possibility that the police are going to be trying to find out who started the fire. And the only place to look is in the woods."

   "Hey Roc, how did the fire start?" Zonnique asked me. I told them what happened. "Do you think it was killer?" Kiloni asked. "Most likely. I got a phone call earlier from him. I think it's a him. He used one of those voice box things. He was telling me to stop my plan on trying to figure out who he was. He said that was going to kill me if I figure out who he his and that you guys should be careful, he wants to kill you guys next." It got very quiet. Nobody said anything. What could they say? Their lives were in danger.  

   "This is too creepy. What are we supposed to do now?" Kiloni said. She was really scared. She was shaking and kept looking around her to make sure that noone was around her or wasn't going to sneak up on her. "We have to stay here." Ray said. "My cousin just texted me, the police are looking for us now. Our parents are worried about us."

   "Stay out here?! In the woods? With no food or water? Or bathroom?" Zonnique said in shock. "We'll live off the land." Ray said in a joking manner. 

   "Ray are you being serious?" Prince asked sounded anxious. I think everybody was slowly losing their mind. Oh so slowly...

   "Fuck it." I said after a moment of silence. "Let's just stay here. You girls are gonna have to stay with us. Unless you're able to explain to your parents why you're covered in ashes." The both of them look practically crushed that I told them that they have to live in the woods. We sound like savages kind of right now.

   "Let's split up. We should create a VERY SMALL fire, just so we can see." Ray said. "And others should look for things to make shelter and food."

   "Me and Kiloni will go look for food and shelter supplies." Prince said. "I'll go with you." I said. I did not want to walk in the woods by myself. Nope, not happening. "I guess me and Ray will go look for firewood." Zonnique said looking at Ray. He rolled his eyes.

   We all went our seperate ways. The three of us said nothing. It wasn't untilI I had accidently bumbped into Kiloni and she said, " So you think because you saved everybody's life, now you can just bump into whoever you like?"

   Here we go. "What is wrong with you? One minute you hate me, the next minute you want to kiss me and can't keep your hands off of me. I don't get it!" I said. 

   "Come you guys, don't start." Prince said.

   "No, no, let's start." Kiloni said. "Hey Roc, did you ever tell Prince what you did? I know for a fact that you most definitely told him what I did."

   "What?" Prince said.

   "Really Kiloni, Really? You want to bring up old shit now? I really don't need this right now. Our lives are in danger and she wants to talk relationship issues. This is why you don't bring girls on missions." I said.

   "Oh so you're in super secret agent mode right now huh? You're still in the real world! You can't just do something and expect everything to change. When are you gonna stop being so utterly clueless Roc?! You have faults too."

   "I'm not clueless." I debated. I'm not really clueless.

   "You're literally stuck in your own world. Roc, you were not aware that Prince's mom was staying in the conjunction house for three weeks. Who the hell misses when somebody is living in their house?!"

   I quickly turned my head to Prince. "Are you serious?!"

   "I'm not in this arguement, I'm just looking for food. But yes. She. Was." There was a strange tension in his voice. I would've asked him about it, but of course, "THERE YOU HAVE IT." Kiloni said.

   "Kiloni, did I really hurt you that badly?"

   "Roc, you left me for another girl. Yeah, I would say that I was hurt pretty badly. I mean, did you honestly expect me to be your best friend and be happy and smiling after you tell me that you've been talking to someone for a couple a weeks and decided that we should just be friends? I was shattered Roc."

   "You didn't have to throw brush at me." I said.

   "Be happy that I didn't throw the flat iron at you. By the way, where is the girl that you've been 'talking to'?" She put hand quote when she said "talking to".

   "We don't talk anymore. It didn't last." I said lowing my head. I felt kind of ashamed. "She wasn't how I thought she was."

   She didn't say anything. "I'm sorry" I finally said. "I'm sorry I broke your heart. I'm sorry and didn't treat you the way you should be treated."

   "It's okay" she said. That was it? That was all she wanted. An apology. Wow. I was about to kiss her but a gun  shot went off. Then another. Prince ran back up to us to make sure we were alright. Then, we gathered all of the food he found. He only found a couple of suspicious looking berries. Then we all ran as a group trying to find Ray and Zonnique.

   Kiloni was ahead of us and suddenly tripped. When I caught up to her, I tripped but Prince didn't. When she realized what she tripped over, she screamed unbelieveably loud and went into complete hysterics. We tripped over Zonnique. She was shot in the head, right at the forehead. I had to hold Kiloni down and cover her mouth so we wouldn't attract any attention from the police. They were probably still looking for us in the woods.

   "Where's Ray?" Prince said looking all around us. The three of us just looked all around us. Ray was no where in sight.
