"Marinette! You're going to be late if you don't come down right now!" her mom yelled loud enough for her to hear.

"Ugghh... five more minutes, mom..." said Marinette drowsily. Rolling over to her side table, she checked her alarm clock and bolted upright immediately. "It's 15 after 7! Oh, no!" she exclaimed as she hurriedly got ready. It was 20 after 7 now. Marinette was just coming down the stairs.

"Bye honey! Have a wonderful day at school!" her mom exclaimed. "Oh, and dear?"

"Yeah, mom?"

"Me and your father'll be out tonight. You'll be home alone for a little while, okay?"

"Alrighty," said Marinette. That's fine, thought Marinette. I'll be too busy saving the world, as always. And besides, she continued,  I'll still be able to see my beloved Adrien, so..

Adrien. Her mind wandered. She remember what Alya said the day before, saying how much he looked like Chat Noir, the super hero who fought beside Ladybug. There is NO way, thought Marinette. Though... It wouldn't be too bad if he was...

Lost in her daydream, she didn't mind her teacher embarrassing her infront of class, or the way Khloe snickered at her across the room.

Adrien as Chat Noir... she suddenly had a worried look on her face. Am I falling for two boys at once?

Adrien's pov

"Marinette! What do you have to say for yourself! This is the first time you've ever been late to class!" the teacher exclaimed. Adrien looked around at the class and the only one he saw snickering was Khloe, everyone's arch nemesis.

I wish Khloe were more nicer, he thought. He focused his attention towards Marinette. She didn't say anything though, she just had a dazed look on her face. He heard Alya, her best friend, whisper to her across the class.

"Pull yourself together, girl!"

Marinette didn't hear her, though. She was still caught up in her daydream about Adrien and Chat Noir. Hmm... thought Adrien. She does look a lot like Ladybug. How have I never noticed before? He sat there squinting at her until the teacher told her to take a seat.

Weird... he thought as she took her seat. Is she Ladybug? No, he decided. She can't be. There's no way. Marinette's too amazing to be Ladybug. Is it really Khloe? He gulped and looked across the room at Khloe.

Sensing his gaze, Khloe looked towards him and smiled while giving him a little wave.

Sighing, he said, "Man... I am in big trouble."

Time skip to battle

"Lucky Charm!" Ladybug exclaimed as a spoon fell into her hands. "Huh?! Chat, what do you suppose I do with this?" she asked.

"Not sure, hun. I'll keep the monster distracted while you figure something out." said Chat as he went over to the monster. "Cataclysm!" he yelled the attack as the monster was blasted back. It was stunned.

"The Akuma's in his eye glass, but how are we going to get it out?" asked Chat as he stared down at it.

"I have an Idea!" Ladybug bent over and pried his eye glass off with the spoon. "Here we go. Time to de-evilize!" she exclaimed as the butterfly turned back to normal. "Bye-bye, little butterfly!"

"Impressive, Ladybug. But not as impressive as me-" Chat stopped his voice right in it's tracks. Without noticing his ring beeping before, Plagg whipped out of it and Chat went back to his normal self.

Gasping, Ladybug said,"A-Adrien? It's you?" She covered her mouth.

"Uhh... um.. yeah?" he said and scratched his neck.

"You idiot! I thought my beeping warned you!" said Plagg as he bonked him on the head.

"Ow!" said Adrien, "sorry, Ladybug. I didn't want to show you my identity this way. I just-"

Before he finished his sentance, Tikki whirled out of Ladybug's earring, and Marinette's identity was revealed.

"A-ah! Oh, no!" Marinette slowly backed away from Adrien. "I can't! I-"

Adrien walked forward and placed his hand on her cheek. "My lady..." he breathed. He was so close that she could smell his minty breath. Marinette blushed deeply and moved away.

"We have to get out of here, now, Marinette!" said Tikki quickly.

"I-I'm sorry, Adrien! I have to-" "Wait." Adrien cut her off and moved closely once more. "Can you please... go out with me, maybe?"

Marinettes eyes widened. "Umm..." she felt Tikki pulling on her sleeve urgently. "I'll have to get back to you on that. I'll... see you at school?"

"Yeah," he gulped. "Okay."

"Bye, kitty kitty!" She said before she turned and ran.

Adrien fell to his knees.

"Haah..." he sighed.

"Good going, buster. It's going to be real awkward between you two now." said Plagg.

"Yeah, but... I'm glad Ladybug turned out to be an amazing girl like Marinette," said Adrien, dazed by her brilliance. Plagg scoffed.

"Focus on beating Hawkmoth, Adrien! And c'mon! I wanna eat cheese!"

"Fine," he sighed, and got up to go. But before he went, he turned back to look at the bakery where Marinette lived. Oh, my sweet Ladybug, Marinette... he thought to himself. I hope I can win your heart over, somehow...
