Chapter 5: Woodbury, Georgia

Seven Days Later

"Tell us, Troy. What happened to Daniel and Claydon?" Aleira asked Troy, as he viewed the bag of guns that he once hid on the fence

The group was on the road on the RV. Damian was driving and Chris was shotgun. The rest stayed in the back couches and beds.

"Claydon and Daniel---. They were legless. Daniel warn us about the meat in the dinners. Claydon turn right at the moment Chris touched him. So close, he almost got bit back there" Troy said

"You can say that again" Chris said

"My poor Daniel" Aleira said sadly

"Don't worry about it. You'll fine another man and move one. Hell, you are so pretty you can get another man any day" Damian said

"Yeah, I guess so" She said still sadden about her lost

The group were still in the highway, their route was unknown but they were certain to find something. City after city, Chris and Damian search them all with the group in the RV. Most of them were abandoned and very few cities had any building clean.

"I have seen Delina very strange" Troy said

"What do you mean" Damian said

"She is like--" A huge scream interrupted Troy's ending

It was Lily who screamed. The group went to see what happened and saw Lily Mom, the mother of Lil' Lily.

"I just need FOOD" Lily Mother cried to Lily

"Leave her alone" Troy yelled

"Well if it isn't the new Parent, how delightful. I'll eat both of you and--" A fire shot through the head of Lily Mother soon killed her before ending the sentence

"That was close" Chris said putting the Colt Python away in his pocket

"Mother? She is no mother to me" Lily said

"Yeah, how about Bessie and I become your new parents" Troy told Lily

"Yes, Daddy and Mommy, Troy and Bessie" Lily said

"Good girl" Troy said taking her into the RV

The group soon departed that station and in the way they found a group of survivors.

"Please help us. We need food" An african american said to the group as they stopped

"No problem. Here take this" Chris said giving them some food

"What is your name" the african american, who had around his face black hair and a monstache

"I'm Chris, leader of my group. You are?" He asked

"I'm Edmund, and this are my children, Edison and Elicia" he said pointing at a young couple as they were around 18 years old, that were also african american

"Nice to meet you guys. These here are Mark, Delina;my girlfriend, Damian;my friend and loyal buddy, Troy and his girlfriend Bessie, Lily their daughter, and Aleira" Chris said

"Nice to meet you all" Edmund said

"Asshole" Damian whispered to Chris

"Anyways, we need shelter and we can really help out" Edmund said

"Thanks, we only have the RV, to stay in" Chris said

"No problem, we can add another car to it. A trunk with wheels" Edmund said

"Where can we find that?" Chris asked

"We have one. Attach it. And BAM. We got a car for us and the front RV for you guys to drive" Edmund said

The group followed Edmund and they were led to a trunk they attached it and we're off on the road

"I know a place to go" Edmund broke the silent

"Where?" Troy asked

"Here" Edmund pointed and with a marker he marked the spot

"So is that a real place?" Damian asked

"They call it Woodbury" Edmund said

"Park it here" Chris said

Damian parked the RV with the trunk in the woods about 12 miles away from Woodbury. They took only four shotgun, which were for Troy, Mark, Damian and Edmuns. Chris had his Colt Python in his belt pocket and Amputator on the other end.

They went towards the gates and the guards spoke up.

"Who goes there" The right guard said

"My group and I, we are here for shelter" Chris said

"You know what, we might need more citizens, call Gavin" The left guard said

"Who the fuck goes there" a man, between his late 40s and 50s, with brown hair came toward the opening gates

"I'm Chris" Chris told him

"I'm the fucking major here okay? I'm Major Gene Gavin and you must follow all my commands. Got that? If you don't then you are to fight in the Arena" Gavin said

"Got it" Chris said and they entered

They kept their weapons with then until they reached their house. Once inside they dropped their stuff inside and went outside to meet people.

They went around to see wonderful locations so such as the Woodbury Arena and the Major's Apartment.

"This is a nice place" Chris told Edmund in a bench outside their building

"It sure is. Can I tell you something?" Edmund asked

"Sure, tell me anything" Chris said

"What happened with Larry. Many have told me but I want your version" Edmund said

"Besides being an asshole, he blamed me for his daughter death, sleeping with Delina and taking away his leadership" Chris said

"Is that all?" Edmund asked

"Yes. Anyways, I think we should be okay around these. If they try anything funny we kill them" Chris said

"Well you guys enjoying Woodbury" Gavin came towards the two men

"Yeah, anyways, I got to go see my girl" Chris said leaving

Gavin took out a pocket knife and place it on Edmund's throat about to kill him

"What do you know of Woodbury?" Gavin asked him

"I--I kn--ow what many kn---ow" He gasp at saying it

"Well--" Gavin got interrupted by the gates opening to greet new guest, that would decide the fate of Woodbury...
