Chapter 15 - Planning Daddy's birthday

Last chapter: Tucking Nathan in bed, Siva dropped a kiss on the boy's forehead and turned back to return to the boys when he heard Nathan whisper, "I found a Mummy, Daddy. NuNu is a good Mummy." Siva smiled softly to himself shaking his head as he returned back to the boys. Taking a look at Nareesha, Siva sighed inwardly. Nareesha and him? No! "Tell me those stories about Nathan playing matchmaker for you again. That kid is so good." Max asked making Siva laugh as he started telling those stories again.

All he could hope was that his kid doesn't get more ideas about playing matchmaker for his Daddy again.

According to Nathan, Nareesha would prove the best Mummy to him as well as a good wife to his Daddy Siva. Nareesha was too good according to Nathan. She was the one who would give him enough cuddles, shower him in sweets and candies, let him run around to spend his energy, kiss his injuries whenever he had a fall or best she was the one who would coax his Daddy to not scold him sometimes and let him get away without any punishment just like a Mummy would do.

Nathan loved spending time with Nareesha. If Siva brought him to the office, Nathan would spend much of his time with Nareesha rather than Siva. Even his over protective Daddy who doesn't normally like to leave him in anyone else's hands, looked very comfortable to hand him off to Nareesha for some time. Moreover, he's seen how much his Daddy needed Nareesha to fix his appointments, make his schedule. He knew how much Nareesha was important. And according to Nathan if Nareesha was that much important to his Daddy then she should definitely be with them all the time. But what Nathan didn't understand was why his Daddy wasn't seeing that Nareesha was perfect for him. Nathan, though, was determined to make his Daddy realize that.

Strolling in the office as his Daddy tried to keep up by running after him, Nathan ran straight in Nareesha. "Caught him boss" Nareesha chuckled as she scooped Nathan in her arms. "Thanks Nareesha. Come on monster, let's go now" Siva said. "No, I stay with NuNu" Nathan insisted. "Are you sure?" Siva asked. "Uh huh" Nathan nodded. Siva nodded along as he made his way to his cabin, shocked that his son who usually clings to him preferred to stay with Nareesha rather than him. "Good job, buddy. Now what say we get to the preparations?" Nareesha asked Nathan who nodded excitedly.

Actually, Nathan had been preparing for his Siva's birthday along with Nareesha. Everything was already discussed. Uncle Jay was bringing the drinks. Uncle Max was taking the responsibility for food with Uncle Tom while Auntie Kelsey, NuNu and Nathan were going to do the decorations at home. Nathan and Nareesha were on a secret mission of making homemade birthday card for Nathan's Daddy. And it had to be hidden from his Daddy of course which is why Nathan was spending more time with Nareesha at the office rather than sticking close to his Daddy which he normally used to do.

Throughout the week, Siva noticed how Nathan spent more and more time with Nareesha. Though, Siva adored the fact that Nathan was opening up to others, he couldn't help but feel jealous. Nathan was spending less time with him nowadays and Siva wasn't quite okay with that. It irritated him to see Nathan run to Nareesha, giggle with her, spend more and more time with her. He couldn't help but feel a little bad when Nathan would whisper things to Max, Jay, Tom and Kelsey and tell Siva that he wasn't allowed to listen.

But the worse came when Nareesha all of a sudden told him of a meeting one morning. Siva tried to get hold of his friends to watch over Nathan but all of them said they were busy and suggested that Nareesha babysits Nathan. Even Sebastian's mum, Sara suggested Nareesha. When Siva dropped Nathan off to Nareesha's place, he was heartbroken to see his baby not even sniffle when Siva was leaving. He didn't know that Nathan actually had a little melt down after Siva left but Nareesha was quick to help Nathan get over that.

Throughout the meeting Siva kept thinking about Nathan. Was his baby just growing up or was this something he should be worried about? The meeting took quite some time and by evening Siva stumbled back home as Nareesha said she would be dropping Nathan later. Flicking his lights on, Siva was met by silence which soon turned into cheers and loud 'happy birthday' wishes. "Happy birthday Daddy" Nathan said, toddling to his Daddy as Siva scooped him up. "I made this for you, Daddy" Nathan said handing Siva the cards. "Oh my God, this is so cute." Siva said, kissing Nathan on the cheek. "So this was what you all were planning and I kept thinking what this little guy was hiding. God, this is the best surprise ever." Siva said. They got the cake cut and with his friends, Siva got to hold a little party too making his birthday a very special one.

By the end of the party, Nathan was fast asleep, cuddled in Nareesha's arms and Siva couldn't help but think of how it all fits so well. Maybe Nareesha could be the one Siva was looking for to help him take care of Nathan. Maybe Nareesha could be the one for him too.
