Was it really that hard?
Just a reply to a text
Maybe you didn't want to see me
But you could've replied
I asked one thing of you
One simple thing
I asked if I could drop off a gift
A Christmas gift for you
That's all
Sweet and innocent
And you couldn't respond
It wasn't the gift though
I needed you to read that card
It exposed my feelings
Beautiful feelings at that
Maybe then you would see
Maybe then you would care
Maybe then you would understand how much pain I am in
But no, you never replied
