Alone Again:
She wanted to scream. She wanted to tear things apart. She wanted to rip out her heart and crush it, sickly watching it turn to a fine ash. Why would it betray her? She made a promise long ago to be wary of others as they could break her. They would break her; It is something inevitable. Then someone came along, not a lover, just someone destined to be friend. They laughed together; they cried together. It was beautiful, easy. Then, it wasn't. It got hard and it crumbled. She was alone again and no one was coming to rescue.
