Chapter 30: Revenge

Where is Rachel??? I need her right now.

"Where's Rachel." I asked angrily.

"Don't you worry." he sent an evil smirk. "She's taken care of."

I gulped as I could feel hot tears roll down my cheeks. "You know, there are many unmated males in this pack. I'm sure they would put on quite a show. Do you want to join us in watching them?" he spoke out with a chuckle.

"Why are you doing this?"

"You want to know why I vowed revenge against you." he chuckled while stalking towards me. He cracked his knuckled before kicking me in the stomach. The chair tipped over and I fell on my side, slamming my head against the hard surface of the floor.

He knelt down next to me and grabbed my throat. "You killed my mate."

*Rachel's POV*

I woke up with a scream. Not because I had a nightmare, but because I got kicked in the stomach. I start coughing and I tried to clutch my stomach but stopped when the chains on my wrist tightened and started burning even more.

I quickly looked up. My eyes met a familiar pair of eyes. My eyes widened in horror. I shivered in fear as I saw the familiar being in front of me.

"Jayden?" I gasped, shock evident in my voice.

"Hey, Rachel." he replied. His voice was so much different from the last time I saw him. His voice was colder and scarier.

He knelt down in front of me and gripped my shoulders, bringing my face closer to his.

"Why am I here and what do you want from me." I asked.

"I'm retrieving what's mine." he said. My eyes widened and I grimaced. "Your's? Why would I be your's. You dumped me. You left me. For what? A BLOODY WHORE!!! What the hell can you possibly have as an excuse."

He gripped my neck. "Do not disrespect me like that, mate."

Mate? What the hell?

"You are not my mate, Jayden. Zachary is my mate."

He swirled a string of my hair around his finger and placed a kiss on my forehead. "Why can't things go back to the way they were, Rach?"

"The way things were aren't the way things should've been. You shouldn't have been in my life. I regret every second I spent with you. All you did was break my heart. I was so oblivious to the things you did. I was blind. There were many obvious things that you did that should've triggered the idea of you cheating on me, but I refused to think that. I was in love with you, Jayden. But not anymore and I never will. Zach is my soulmate. We weren't meant to be together. That's why the moon goddess made us mates. I love him and he loves me. No one can change that."

He let out a loud, vicious growl. His grip on my neck tightened. "Don't say that. I am your mate."

"No....you're n-not. I don't feel the mate pull when I am with you. I feel the sparks and mate pull when I am with Zach. Plus, I can't be with you because I'm already marked by Zach and we mated." I pointed out.

"The reason why you can't feel it is because your current mate is still alive." An evil smirk formed on his lips. "Don't worry, mate. I'll make it so that we can be together."

He brought his face down to my neck. His tongue trailed down my neck and I let out a whimper. "No." I cried while thrashing under my hold.

"You smell so sweet, my little mate." he mumbled.

Getting so fed up with anger, I did the first thing that came to my mind. "Jayden," I whispered, "Look at me."

He pulled away to look at me. His eyes were swirling with hunger and venom. I brought my head back and slammed it against his face. A loud, sickening crack sounded throughout the room. "Ow." I mumbled while wincing from the pain in my head.

Jayden cried out in pain as he held his nose. His eyes turned into slits as anger surged through his body. He pulled his hand away from his nose. Blood dripped down his face and his hand was covered in it. He looked down at his hand before looking back at me.

"Why you little-" Before he could finish, the door opened up. My head snapped to the door. A man came walking into the room. My eyes widened as I recognized his face.

"Father." I said with disgust.

He strode over to us. "Jayden, give us a minute alone." His voice was just as I remembered it. Jayden stood up and bowed.

"Yes, Alpha." he bowed before leaving the cellar-like room.

Once Jayden was gone, my father finally decided to speak. "Hey pumpkin."

"You don't deserve calling me that. And you most certainly do not deserve the title dad or even father." I spat.

He clenched his fists and knelt down in front of me. Before I could even process anything, he rose his hand and slammed it against my cheek. Tears stung my eyes as my cheek stung from the contact.

"Don't disrespect your father like that." he scolded.

I scoffed. "Father? You've never acted like a father. You cheated on your own wife and you practically let your child almost drown. You're such a prick."

He didn't say anything, but just stared at me with pure rage. "Well that's not very luna-like of you."

I rolled my eyes. "Can you explain to me why Jayden thinks that I'm his mate? I already have one."

He shifted his position. "You're so stupid. Stupid little luna. You're so oblivious to the fast that you're a hybrid."

Hybrid??? I've read about them. But how in the hell of cheesy potato fries am I a hybrid.

"Hybrid?" I questioned.

He sent me a smirk. "Shocker ain't it?" I shook my head disbelievingly.

"But what does that have to do with having a second mate?"

"You just do. It's very rare for a someone to have more than one mate. I can't help you there."

It was silent for a couple seconds. "Why am I here? And where is Zach?"

"Your lover boy can't protect you. He's just getting what he deserves." He gritted out.

I gulped. What is he doing to him? "What did he do?" I asked.

"He killed my mate!" He yelled. I jumped back at his sudden loudness. He stood up and sent me an evil grin. "And I'm going to get revenge."

Already had to go through this once and now she has to deal with it again.
