*Rachel's POV*

"Time to get up sleepy head." I heard a voice say as I saw the room light up through my eyelids. I slowly opened my eyes. The light from the window shone into my face, causing me to squint and hiss. I pulled the covers over my head, so that it could get dark again.

I felt someone sit down next to me. I slowly uncovered my face and opened my eyes. My mom was sitting next to me, giving me a warm smile. She caressed my cheek and then she ran her fingers through my long, messy, blonde hair.

"You need to get ready for school." She instructed, getting off of my bed. I nodded and let out a yawn.

She walked out of the room, leaving me behind. I stood up, stretched my muscles, and then walked over to my walk-in closet. I pulled out a hot pink camisole, a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, and a pair of black high- heel boots. I went into my bathroom to apply some makeup and tied my hair up into a tight, high ponytail.

Once I was ready, I grabbed my phone, put it in my purse, picked up my backpack, and went downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. My family were sitting at the dining table. My mom was at the stove cooking breakfast, my dad was sitting at the end drinking coffee and reading a newspaper, and my sister was playing with her barbies. Ha, typical mornings.

"Good morning!" I beamed as I sat down across from my sister.

"Morning." my mom and dad said in unison.

"Mwarning sithy!" Ellie chirped while giving me a big smile. I gave her a smile back. A few minutes later, my mom came to the table with plates.

She fished out the cheese omelettes onto each of our plates. She poured orange juice into Ellie and I's cups. She sat down next to Ellie and my dad folded up his newspaper and placed it next to his plate.

Usually, families rush and all that. They don't normally all eat together, but my family is different....and I...I like it. We eat breakfast and dinner together. Sometimes I do eat in my bedroom and watch Netflix, or I just eat by myself.

We do have maids, but they're on vacation. My parents are really nice to them, they allow them to go on breaks and all that. They don't live hear, but they do live in this neighborhood. They come early in the morning to help us, and clean around the house. That's why our house is always clean.

We all finished eating. I placed my dishes in the sink, walked into the main room where the front door is, and I picked up my backpack. "Bye guys!" I shouted while unlocking the door.

My mom rushed into the room and walked over to me. "Goodbye honey!" she said bringing me into a hug and placing a kiss on my head. "Have a great day at school!"

"I will mom." I gave her a small wave and walked out of the house, closing the door behind me. I walked over to the bus stop, waiting for the bus to come.

"Hey Rach!" I heard a voice from behind me. I spun around and saw Evelyn standing their wearing one of the cutest outfits I have ever seen.

"Hey!" I chirped in return with a smile. "Love the outfit by the way, it's so totes cute!" Evelyn started to blush at my comment. I gave her a small smile.

"So, how's life?" Evelyn asked after the long silence. I gave her a shrug in response to her question. I had no idea, I mean, it's just an average normal day.
