Chapter 40. Kai's Dream

I look onto the direction of Kai to found him looking at me with his blinking eyes, "Do you perhaps.. Recognize the Sapphire section?" He arch his brows. I think for a moment. I don't know if I'm so sure about this decision, but. I look at him again, and shook my head sign as my negative answer. "No,"

He bob his head once and rested two elbows on the table, "Accidentally, Baekhyun and I met at a contest. Not to be arrogant as I tell you but.. The dean both likes Baekhyun and me. We are his favorite to be exact. Every contest, Baekhyun and I are always partners and work as a team. But the suspicious part is.. He's nice when we are not a Black Pearl members yet. He's always talkative, funny, kind and nice," So.. Baekhyun wasn't rude after all before? But why did he suddenly changed nowadays?

"Back to Sapphire Section, Jin is actually the cooperative student in that section. And as time flies by, he and I were nominated to be one of the contestant to be as the new Black Pearl leader. Actually, that title is everyone's goal. The voting went well in the first place, until for the final three, where lies Baekhyun, me and Jin. The three of us are the finalist until the crown turn over to Baekhyun. It was because most of the votes belonged to him. He's the chosen one to be officially the Black Pearl leader, the second is me and lastly is Jin.

But then Baekhyun was been advised to pick only one of us to be his Black Pearl member. In good hands, I was been chosen because he knew me and in fact, we've became close with each other," He pause, fiddling his both thumbs together. "And.. What happened with this Jin?" I asked curiously and arch one brow.

"He was really mad to Baekhyun and I if how did this happen. Well, it was been observed by the voting and so Baekhyun won the competition, then I was chosen to be one of his Black Pearl member. By the way, Sapphire, is actually the second famous section in GreenFields. But sad to say that Black Pearl is the highest rate of popularity than Sapphire. Jin became cold towards me, and so to Baekhyun. He can't really accept about that challenge to go on that easy. He worked hard to get revenge with me and to Baekhyun. On the other hand, Baekhyun changed his kindness, funny attitude, and talkativeness into cold, rude and snob when the time he enters the life to become more famous than what he thought. Well, the most famous student in South Korea because of the title as a Black Pearl leader," He explained, which I can get the situation now.

"Then.. What's the meaning of this as a Black Pearl leader? Is it really that important?" I asked curiously once again. Kai bobs his head, "It was written in the first book of centuries where Black Pearl leaders past away years ago. It was been found in the year 1745, Black Pearl leader means like a second ruler as a King or an Emperor. More than a power of a President, that's why he's that important and people earn more respect towards him. I don't know if what's the reason for him to change his attitude. Maybe it's necessary for him to do so, so that he can't show what's his good side. Everybody must tolerate themselves to respect him that much," He answers.

"And what about those three friends of yours? Did they really expect that you're a Black Pearl leader instead of a member?", "Well yes, they expected it because they saw the voting that Baekhyun's votes went down than mine. They are expecting that I can actually win the competition, the leading person is me than Jin and Baekhyun. But the wheels of fate turned it into upsidedown. However, Baekhyun's votes increased than mine."

"What about Jin? Did he still communicate with you or just send you his greetings?" Why do I sound like a reporter right now? "No actually. That's what I'm getting nervous about right now, his last words that he told me during that event, he'll get revenge onto me and Baekhyun," I felt myself stoned on my position.

Kai dart Taeyeon a look who seemed to be speechless after what she heard, "And as for girls, their goal is to become an Angel of the Black Pearl leader. I don't know why Baekhyun chose you from many girls around the campus," I quickly fix my attention back to Kai who's now smirking, "He only landed his eyes onto you. Angel seemed to be close as a title like a Lady for an Emperor. But in Black Pearl, you are an Angel. You're actually the Third Angel or should I say in Empire version, you got the title as the Third Lady," He wiggles his eyebrows towards me.

I roll my eyes and wrinkled my forehead, "Stop it," I muttered that made him to stop, "So what's the reason why you introduced me and yourself to your friends as a Black Pearl leader and I'm your Angel, hmm?" I crossed my arms over my chest, "It's because of what I mentioned earlier. They expected me that I'm officially a Black Pearl leader. Just please Taeyeon-ah, bare with this situation for now. Can you please be.. m-my Angel just for.. n-now?" Kai's voice is getting lower when he mentioned the last words.

Taeyeon dart him a one last look while thinking twice, "This is actually what I've been planning to do. To borrow you from Baekhyun just for awhile, and act like you're really my Angel and I'm a Black Pearl leader. This is actually my dream even just for one day, so please?" He pleaded, showing me his begging look.

I never would have thought that Baekhyun would be that nice before. I never have expected that so much, so.. He had a past attitude that was been changed by now?

I mentally snap out when I quickly turn my attention back to Jongin who's been waiting for my answer, "Arasseo. Just this once," And for one thing, I never would have thought that I will be Kai's Angel for now. And lied to his friends that he's a Black Pearl leader. But I don't have care about it, this is actually Kai's Dream after all.

A/N: Phew! I never believed myself that I wrote a chapter just this long (for me).
