FORGOT TO UPDATE SORRY
Today I walked Luke to school.
My stepdad's car broke down so he borrowed mine to go to work.
He was deadly silent throughout the 15 minute walk.
He didn't eat his sandwich that I brought for him every morning today.
He didn't even take a sip of his machiatto.
Something was up with this beautiful boy.
Yes, I called him beautiful.
"Luke? You okay?"
"Y-yeah. I'm fine," he smiled.
A fake one.
"Are you sure?"
He bit his lip, but nodded.
And thus the silence continued, only the sound of nature and low humming of the engines of passing cars on the streets.
As we were about to cross the road, Luke didn't check for incoming cars.
A loud car horn honked.
"Luke!" I yelled out, pushing him out of the way, back onto sidewalk, as I felt sudden pain on my side.
My eyes had a ringing sound, and my vision was blurring out. Luke came over and was shaking me, crying.
Why was he crying?
Don't cry, Lukey.
He was screaming my name, shaking me like crazy.
Things faded to black.
I don't know what was going on, nor what happened to me.
But I saved him.
