Clarissa - Chapter Five

Looking at my preys face, he replies grunting “Cole, my names Cole”. He is obviously annoyed and upset for some reason, but what? What reason did this pathetic human have to be annoyed at me? What reason did he have to be upset? And for what reason did this bother me so much? Why do I hate to see him upset with me? Why do I care for his feelings? I do not care for anyone but my self. Humans cannot accept me they are my prey. Demons like me, I am isolated from, I care for no one but myself.. And this human boy. This beautiful human, with a deep voice, captivating eyes, a strong body, and a most beautifully fitting name. Why was I having these pathetic and soft human emotions? I do not want to feel this way, yet every time I push them away they come back stronger, and I barely know this human boy..

Annoyed with my train of thoughts I look away from his beautiful face and eyes, and I wonder what is going on? Why is it I feel the need to be close to him when I am far away, yet when we are close to one other the need is satisfied? He is my prey.. Not anything else. However, my prey cuts off these thoughts. “What the hell did you do to me last week?!! All week I have not slept, eaten, drank, or anything! Just moped around my house! But, but.. Now! Next to you, I feel well again! What the hell did you do to me you.. you WITCH!” he demands shouting at me. Looking back up I see his brows are narrowed in confusion and anger, his posture is straight and tall, and his jaw is clenched as well as his fists. Yet although he seems angry, it is obvious he is just confused. Just like me, I have no idea what actually happened and I have no idea what to say to him. For once I Clarissa, a demon of the night, is totally confused.

Frowning myself, I decided to play it off. Answering in a sweet voice I tell him, “Sorry Cole, but I have no idea what you are talking about. I did nothing to you and I have felt fine all week. Maybe you caught a bug or something?”. However, my answer seemed to upset him more. “Don’t lie to me! I know you did something to me! All week I have only wanted to see you! Why? Why did you cast this stupid spell on me?!!” he shouted at me, pushing me back against the wall, his face getting very close to my own while he shouted at me. Blinking I made my hard stare meet his own. “I said I have no idea what you are talking about Cole. Now why don’t you back off?” I spit back. His glare only intensifies. “Listen here, Witch. I want answers and I want them NOW!!”. I glare at him, cold and hateful. No one talks to me like that. Especially my prey! He should bow down and respect me! Not shout at me like something less than a pathetic human! Yet at the same time I feel this, a small part of me wants to comfort him and make him happy, to stop him being angry with me. To wrap my arms around him until he calms down. But why? Why! I hate this feeling. I hate him. He makes me weak. He is the problem. He is my prey and I need to sort this!

Growling deep in my throat, too quite for my prey to hear, I shove him off me so he stumbles back a good few steps. “I am NOT a witch. I did NOT cast some stupid spell on you. I don’t know what you are talking about, so I do NOT have any answers for you! Now back of before I do something you won’t like!” I all but growl back at him. He takes a few more steps back and glares at me whilst breathing heavily. Looking at him, I cannot help but notice just how sexy he looks when he is angry, but quickly push that thought away. Before I let out an angry huff of air, before storming out of the ally. Leaving my prey behind once again.

Fifth chapter, not edited either. Shorter than I planned, but I couldn't think on what else to write! :3
