Goats And Hating Men

Start from the beginning

"What did you do?" he asked.

"Stood there, frozen like a complete idiot," I said. "Oh god, Tyler must feel horrible. He probably thinks I hate him. UGH! I'M SO HORRIBLE!"

"No you're not," Stefan said.

I lifted my head up again.

"How am I not horrible?" I asked.

"Well for one, Tyler kissed you," he said. "When you were obviously at a vulnerable state. He should've known you would probably react that way. You couldn't help that he kissed you, therefore you aren't in the wrong. He is."

"Who's kissing who now?" a voice asked.

It was Damon.

"And why are you lying on the floor?" he added.

"Tyler kissed Marni, and she feels guilty about it," Stefan answered.

"Don't feel guilty about it," Damon said, looking at me. "He's a dick. He kissed you, not the other way around."

"God I hate men!" I said, getting up on my feet.

"Oh come on, we're not that bad," Damon smirked.

"Yes you are! You think, just because someone just got out of a relationship, you can go ahead and take advantage of them," I said. "That's it! I'm turning lesbian!"

"Uh..."

I turned and saw Alaric standing in the doorway.

I just sighed and walked upstairs to my room.

When had my life gotten so complicated?

With boys anyway.

I wasn't actually going to turn lesbian. Not that I have anything against gays. Years back, Damon and I had a bet on how long it would take Stefan to finally realise he was gay. Never happened.

I flopped down on my bed and stared at the ceiling.

I layed there for hours, not moving, only thinking.

I was snapped out of my train of thought by my phone, hearing it vibrate on the table next to my bed.

I rolled over and grabbed it.

Shadow: heyy come chill at the grill with me?

I thought about it for a moment. There was a likely chance that I'd see Jeremy or Tyler there, but then again, who cares? I need to get out more.

Me: sure, i'll be there in 20

I jumped in the shower and quickly washed myself.

I got out and dried my hair with magic.

I pulled on some clothes and headed downstairs.

"Where are you going?" Stefan asked.

"I'm gunna go chill at the Grill," I said. "I'll be back later."

"I win again!" I declared, pumping my fist in the air.

Shadow and I were playing pool, and I had won three times in a row.

"I'm going easy on you," he said

I snorted. "That's about as likely as Elijah being scared of goats. Face it, I'm better than you."

"Fine," he said. "Marni Salvatore is better at pool than me."
