Maxx : It Started Now, And Your Part Of It

Chapter 9

The next morning, me (Maxx, duh), Derick and Ariel were hanging out in the living room. We were trying to figure out how were gonna get to New York City because, you know, not all of us have wings.

"I was thinkin we could steal a car!" Ariel got a excited and happy look on her face.

"No! We ain't gonna steal no car!" Derick yelled at Ariel. I for one think it would be kinda cool, even if it's wrong.

"Why can't she steal a car?" Chase walked in the living room. He was wearing a grey jacket, baggy jeans and a black cap that was tilted to the side. "You should lighten up, man!" Chase came to stand next to Ariel.

"Lighten up? Lighten up?! What the he'll is that suppose to mean?!?!" Derick snapped at Chase who flinched when Derick spited when he yelled.

"Dude, calm down." I made Derick sit down before he tried to kill Chase.

"What's all the yelling about?" Ash and River walked in to the living room.

"Yeah. It sounds like someone bout to kill!" River said, sitting next to Ash.

"Ariel said we should steal a car, Derick said no, Chase came in and told him to lighten up, then Derick snapped." I told them with a straight face and a bored tone in my voice.

"Oh. But, Ariel, Why would you want to steal a car?" Ash walked up to Ariel and asked the question.

"We have to get to New York some how..." Ash cut Ariel off. I decided to read Ariel's mind. Why do people keep cutting me off!?!? That's exactly what i thought.

"Why do you gotta go to New York?" Ash turned to me now.

"We found out who turned us in to mutant freaks and his lad is in New York City." I looked at Ash. I still had a straight face and bored tone. If you were there you would have the same tone.

"Why cant we just fly or something?" Ash sorta sounded mad and annoyed.

"Because, not everyone has wings, Ash." Surprisingly, River was the one who spoke up to Ash this time.

"Hey guys!" Priscilla came in the living room "Whats going on?"

"River just spoke up to Ash!" Ariel yelled at Priscilla and started laughing. After that everyone else was laughing too. 

"OK guys, we know what were doing and where were going, right?" I asked everyone before we went to our rooms to pack our backpacks, and not for school.

"Yeah!" Chase and Ariel yelled at the same time then they smiled at each other. Weird.

"Yup!" Priscilla said in her little peppy voice.

"Uh-huh." Ash said and River nodded.

"Yeps!" A little kid came out from behind the couch.

"No way! We ain't taking no kid, Maxx!" Derick yelled at me.

"We are. I cant leave Tj here alone." I said and put a hand on Tj's shoulder.

"Fine! But i ain't taking care of him!" Derick yelled at me.

"Your not going to!" I mocked Derick. "I'll look out for him. He ain't that much younger than us."

"Hes ten years old, Maxx!" Derick was becoming such a jerk!

"And your eleven!" Ariel yelled at him.

Ha ha! Derick just got burned! 

"Fine! He can go." Derick said looking back at me.

"He was gonna go weather you wanted him to or not!" I told Derick that.

After all that junk, we all went to our rooms to pack. Leaving at 1:00 am! Woo-Hoo!
