I was a wreck! Of course, they wouldn't hire me. They can tell. I've worked for A-list companies back in New York. I had the education. But I didn't have the look.

What I had seen in my reflection wasn't the new and improved Leigh, I anticipated.

Moving west was supposed to be my chance to start fresh. Meeting Grant wasn't the start of my problems, so I won't blame it on him.

It was Kaine Cole and my father who influenced my taste in men.

Now look at me.

Ranting on I bumped foreheads with someone, "Goddamn."

I had to recover, when I did—I was pissed.

"You again? What the hell? You're the same douche from yesta'day."

I started to put on my heels.

He just stared, "Hello.."

I waved my hand in his face.

Kaine

I got a good look at her. It had to be her.

"Excuse me? Oh my god—is he deaf?"

I held in my laughter, she felt bad.

She was kept asking herself, then she finally started doing sign language.

"No, I'm not deaf." She rolled her eyes, that's how I knew that she was Leigh Christian.

"Leigh?"

Her face scrunched up,in confusion.

"How do you know my name?"

"It's me LC." I smiled, I haven't seen her in so long.

Her shape remained and filled her out even more now and her hair had gotten longer.

She was now a grown woman.

Her hair was still curlier than ever.

She even still has her bottom braces as well. Wow.

She analyzed me and her grin began to fade and turn into a scowl.

"K--K.."

"Stay far away from me." She held up her finger and backed away..

"It's me, Kaine."

Did she not remember me?

"Kaine, I know its you. You were the only one that calls me by that name ."

"Wow you've--"

"Cut the shit."

"I've changed, really." I smiled,

"You've cut off your dreads, I see. You were 'Mack' the last time I saw you and you was foul."

She tried to walk away, until I gently tugged her arm and she retracted.
