She had expected Emma to go back to her parents, but she didn't. The blonde stayed with her and spoke to her. Instead of their normal plotting against each other conversations, it was a normal conversation. Regina learned a lot about her, and they had more in common than either of them would care to admit.

As it inched towards 11.30 pm, Henry came over and shoved his way in between them. It wasn't long before he was fast asleep cuddled into Regina's side with his head on her shoulder.
Regina couldn't help but smile at the sweet embrace. "I think it's time we got our son to bed," she whispered, shooting the blonde a smile.
Emma nodded in agreement and gently shook Henry awake. The boy stayed awake long enough to shift his weight from Regina to Emma who scooped him up into her arms. "Mine or yours?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Mine is closer," Regina responded.
Emma nodded in agreement.
The family stepped outside, and Henry shivered at the sudden cool air. The blonde quickly wrapped her jacket around him which she was previously holding in her hand.
When they arrived at the mansion, they didn't bother waking Henry to get him changed they just took off his shoes and tucked him in. He squirmed at the soft contact of his bed instead of Emma's arms. "Love you, moms," he mumbled sleepily.
"We love you too, Henry," Emma whispered as the two women made their way out of the room. She turned to Regina as they reached the bottom of the stairs. "I should probably get going." She smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow."
Regina bit her lower lip. "Swan?" she called out as Emma made her way down the gravel path. The younger woman turned to face her. "How about lunch tomorrow? Me, you and Henry?"
A small smile crossed Emma's face and she nodded. "I'd like that. Goodnight, Regina."
Regina smiled. "Goodnight, Emma," she mumbled, watching as she walked down the gravel path away from her home.

Emma woke up to the apartment door slamming shut, she could only assume that it was Henry. She looked at the clock on her bedside table and saw it was just after noon. She groaned lightly before getting up and walking downstairs to find Henry sitting talking to David. "Hey, kid," she greeted him with a yawn.
Henry shot her a smile as he spun round in his chair. "Lunch is at 1," he squeaked happily.
It suddenly clicked and Emma remembered that she had agreed to have lunch with him and Regina. She shot him a kind smile. "Thanks, Henry." She quickly ran off to take a shower.
Once she was ready it was 12.45pm and figured that they should probably get going if they wanted to meet Regina on time since she was always so punctual.
Emma heard the door knock and opened it to find Gold standing on the other side with his usual smirk plastered across his face. She groaned. "What do you want?" she hissed.
The impish man let out a short chuckle. "Remember that favor you owe me?" he asked with a sly smile. Emma scowled and nodded. "I'm cashing it in now."
Emma groaned in annoyance. She was going to miss lunch with Regina and she was already starving after sleeping in and missing breakfast.
"You're going to help me find my son, Miss Swan."

Hey guys, guess what? I've fixed this bad boy as well. I've even gone as far as changing all the quotes at the beginning of the chapters to a few of my favourite quotes (and poems) that I have accumulated over the years. Apparently a "your fiction is first class" comment from your creative writing teacher causes a real boost in confidence and I've basically been writing non-stop since.
Again, I wanted to fix it because people are still reading it. I keep saying it, but I think it's mad. I made the decision to fix it because people like this fic and I wanted it to be as pleasant a reading experience as possible (Ya know, now that I'm no longer a 15 year old with no understanding of proper punctuation and formatting).
So big thanks for everything. The constant support has been unbelievable and I really appreciate it.
(Quick social plug of my tumblr - artyqueer - in case you're interested in watching me shitpost over Supercorp, sometimes SwanQueen if the mood takes me).
So, enjoy the corrected version, nothing has changed, it's just... nicer to read lol.
