In Narnia

Caspian was walking with one of his trustful soldiers through the palace. They went down hallways and they even went through the garden. Caspian was being briefed on the things that were coming up and things that needed to be addressed. Since he was king, he couldn't avoid his responsibilities anymore.

It was night and the kingdom was asleep. The stars shined bright in the dark sky. A guard was awake, watching the kingdom on top of one of the castle's watchtowers. So far nothing new was to report. Everything was the same and nothing was out of usual. He had never encountered anything from this boring job anyway so why was tonight any different? The guard even wondered why he didn't fall asleep every time he was up here.

Hours had passed and something was coming toward the castle. He squinted his eyes, trying to make out the figure. There was something in a big group coming to them, but he didn't know what. There were all sorts of different shapes. The figure was coming closer and closer, which made the guard know who it was.

He was shocked that he was seeing this right now.

"That's impossible." said the guard.

Without hesitation, he grabbed a horn and blew it with all his might. The sound rang throughout the kingdom, waking people up. Caspian was in his room when he heard the horn. He got up out of bed and put on a fresh pair of clothes. He tied his sword around his waist and walked out of his room. His most trusted army leader came to him. Caspian was informed of what was going on.

"Caspian, we have an army heading our way. I've issued for everyone to retreat and leave their homes." said the captain guard.

"Who is approaching us?" asked Caspian.

The guard hesitated because he knew the answer wasn't what Caspian wanted to hear.

"The White Witch." answered the guard.

Caspian was shocked to hear that the White Witch was alive again. That she was living to walk on the ground of Narnia once again. Caspian knew the tragedies of war and battle. The White Witch was someone you didn't want to mess with, especially when you are not prepared.

"Tell everyone to leave and head to the ruins of Cair Paravel," Caspian ordered

Caspian went down to the stables were his black horse was waiting. The guard hopped on his horse and rode out of the stables, with Caspian, to make sure everyone was fleeing the kingdom. He headed to the back bridge, which was built after the departure of the kings and queens of Narnia. He told his trusted guard to leave. The guard remained with Caspian because he didn't want to leave his king behind, but then he ran off with the rest of the kingdom.

Caspian waited on the bridge. The White Witch was walking over to him. She had two large and muscular centaurs come with her. She was standing just a couple of inches from the beginning of the bridge. She looked at Caspian for a moment. They stared at each other. Caspian turned his horse away from the witch and started riding away. He took out the white horn, that once belonged to the high queen of Narnia. He took a deep breath, then blew it with all his might.

Caspian and the people of his kingdom were away from the White Witch. They fled to the old, run-down kingdom of the kings and queens of Narnia. It was so run down that there was no shelter for Caspian's people or him.
