We're in the middle of playing fallout 4 when my phone rings for the third time.

"Aren't you going to pick it up?" Kieran asks pointedly.

"What, let you beat me?" I say after the final ring. "Not a chance."

"Yeah right," Kieran continues. "You're going down."

"I win" Jamie suddenly says and we both turn away from each other towards the screen. Me and Kieran are dead and the look on Jamie's face is incredibly irritating.

"Wait, don't start again until I've made the call."

I pick up my phone and a stream of angry texts greets me.

Soph: Ri-ri can you come to Lilah's house please?

Soph: She had gelatine and she's allergic.

Soph: Rian where are you?

Soph: Is your phone switched off?

Soph: Please help I'm panicking!

Soph: I've ring you twice already, can you please pick up?

Soph: Forget it I don't need you.

Soph: I can deal with this by myself.

I jump up and grab my bags leaning by the door.

"Sorry guys, relationship on the line. Bye"

I can tell they're not listening but I sneak out of the door anyway.

It doesn't take long to get to Lilah's house but I worry what Sophia's definition of a long time is. My hand flies out to knock on the door but instead it goes straight into someone's face.

"Jess! I'm so so sorry, that was an accident. You opened the door when I was going to knock, I'm really sorry!"

She stands still in shock and I have to wait a while for a reply.

"Whatever, it's okay. Come in." I am wary of her unusually friendly smile and inch slowly inside; I just punched her in the face and she's welcoming me.

Sophia is there and she doesn't look happy.

"Where have you been!"

"I was.. with Jamie and Kieran. I got a new Xbox game." I never knew she could make me so nervous.

"Seriously? She could have died. You chose a video game over us!"

"Now that's ridiculous." It is ridiculous. "How could I have known what you were calling about?"

There's a harsh time in my voice and Sophia looks like she's about to cry.

"I'm sorry soph-soph. I love you." I notice Jess fake-vomiting but she stays standing with us.

We both hug and that's it, I'm forgiven. That's what I love about Sophia, she's the kindest person I've ever known.
