I wouldn't lie to you

A.n. I know it's quite short but I want to do a Tilly pov in the next chapter.

[[Jamie]]

"Jamie?" Lilah is saying my name urgently but I can't think straight. "Jamie! Was that Tilly!?"

"Yeah...it was"

"Does she want to see you? Jamie we can go back don't worry"

"No it's fine. Well..." I reply.

"What?"

I just choose to tell her everything.

"I'm supposed to be on a date with her at the moment."

Lilah gasps and stops walking.

"You're hanging out with me when you're supposed to be on a date with your girlfriend? Jamie, how could you do that?!" She's shocked, I can tell.

"Lilah, I don't want to go, okay? I'm scared. She's an amazing girl and I love her but.."

"But what?"

"I don't think she loves me back. She's been keeping her distance since...well, I think she's going to break up with me."

I can see the disbelief in Lilah's eyes. There's no pity in them, just shock and disbelief.

"No way, you're a perfect couple!" She takes a step backwards, like she doesn't believe me.

I feel hurt. "Lilah, I wouldn't lie to you! Never!''

She glares at me. "Tell Tilly then. Tell her now why you can't be there with her, instead of lying!"

People have stopped and are staring at her. To be fair, she is yelling very loudly.

"Can we...go somewhere else?"

"No." Is the reply. "Call her."

I open my mouth to object but she glares at me and I gulp.

"Okay."

I can't believe Jamie would do this! I'm so confused, all I know is that he's hanging out with me instead of going on a date with his girlfriend.

How confusing is that!??
