A/N: Enjoy this its going to pretty long compared to my other imagines. Bye my peanuts.

You were recently in a movie with Shelley and had actually become really friends.

You her you would visit her on the set of teen wolf and you finally found the time to actually make that happen.

"Shelley!" you called once you spotted her.

"Y/N!" Shelley squeals, running over to great you.

Once you get the formalities of the "how are you" and "I've missed you" portion of the conversation done, Shelley tells she has some exciting thing planned for you.

"What no, you didn't have to do anything for me," you tell her.

"Well I didn't actually do anything...yet at least..." she says with a devious smirk.

"Oh no, I don't like the sound of this," you laugh.

"How do you feel about possibly being introduced to a boy?"

"Oh Shelley who?" you whine.

"Dylan O'Brien."

"No! Please tell me you didn't say anything to him. Oh god please tell me you didn't."

"What? Come on? Why not?"

"Well for starters he dated another of yours. That's too weird and creepy."

"It's not weird or creepy!"

"Shelley please-"

"No Y/N, to me you guys will be great. And it's not like I was ever really friends with them the couple. I was just friends with Britt before and I became better friends with Dylan. Please Y/N, give it a chance."

"Shelley it's just too weird. Plus, they didn't break up that long ago. And they dated for awhile. I don't want to be his rebound."

"Well you too just recently broke up with your long time boyfriend so maybe he would be your rebound," she .

"Shelley that's just another reason why I wouldn't want to be set up with him. It's just bad timing. It wouldn't be fair to either of us."

"Well that's too bad because I already talked it over with him."

"Shelley you didn't!" you scold with a slightly harder-than-expected slap to her arm.

"Ow, jeez Y/N!"

"I'm sorry, but this is so uncool."

"Trust me, it will be so cool when you guys get married."

You roll your eyes, "Shelley-"

"Hey Shelley," a says behind you.

Shelley perks up at the voice and you suddenly freeze up, knowing who to expect with that grin on your friend's face. He comes up beside you and Shelley.

"Hey Dylan, this is Y/N, that friend of mine I told you about."

"Hi Y/N, nice to meet you," he says, extending his hand with a boyish grin.

Damn that boy is fine.

"Uh, hi. Nice to meet you too," you say, returning the handshake.

"Well I'll leave you two to it," Shelley says with a devious smirk, wink, and wave.

You sigh, disappointed that you feel stuck in this situation.

"Hey, okay so Shelley told me you'd probably need convincing, but to be completely honest, I wasn't totally on board with the set-up at first either. Look, I just was in an extremely long, slightly unhealthy relationship. I'm not really looking for anything. Shelley really talked you up, and you're obviously gorgeous which is a plus."

You bite your lip, debating. Dylan is really hot. And he seems nice. It's just that you didn't want to force anything. You weren't ready quite yet for another relationship-not that this would necessarily become one.

"We can go out as friends. We can try to be friends. It doesn't need to be a date, there doesn't need to be anything to worry about. I get the not wanting to rush anything after a break up. This is just two people getting to know each other and going out for a good time."

You continue to stand there with him, mulling everything over. He's very convincing, you have to admit.

"I'll even let you pay for yourself."

At that, you have to laugh. "Alright we have a deal then."

"Wonderful! I mean, I'd rather be your friend anyway."

"What does that mean?" you chuckle.

"It means you seem like a lot of fun, and I'd rather get to know that side of a person. I think it'd be better to hang out in sweatpants and goof around than always feeling like you need to impress the other person and be on your A-game all the time."

"Woah, she must have really did a number on you," you joke.

He gives a half smile,"It's just friends first for me from now on, you know?"

You nod, "Alright I have an idea."

"Do share."

"Alright, since this isn't going to be a date, we have to do everything you're never supposed to do on a date."

He squints, pursing his lips, eyeing you up.

"That's fair," he states.

Shelley quietly comes back from wherever she was hiding.

"How's it going?" she nervously asks.

"We're not going on a date," you carefully say, not breaking eye contact with Dylan.

"But we're going out," Dylan finishes.

Confused Shelley simply says, "Uh... Okay?"
