9 months later
I have been living in Glasgow for 9 months now and I miss home like crazy but I love it here it's different and I got a job at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. I've even met a girl her name is Emma McBaird she's a orthopaedic surgeon but she is also a paediatric surgeon too. We've decided to not take the relationship to the next level until I talk to Meredith.
I've even heard she's met someone. I am heading to Seattle for a week but I'm going to stop off at Maine to see my mother.
"I'm going to miss you" Emma said leaning against the cab outside the hospital
"It's only a week I'll be back before you know it" I replied bring her into a hug
"I'll miss you"
"I'll miss you too" I said before kissing her before getting into the cab.
Maine
I got out the car and headed up to the house and rang the door bell. My mom answered and pulled me in.
"Where have you been" she shouted
"Scotland" I replied sitting down
"Scotland!!!"
"You know mom it's polite to say hello" I said
"You know it's polite to tell your wife where you are" she said as I got up.
"I phoned her a couple of months after I left and we talked"
"You talked?"
"More like shouted and she ended it" I sat back down
"She what?" She replied sitting down and placing her hand on my back
"She said that she never loved me and she regrets going out with me and that she should never have took me back after Spencer" I said breaking down
"Oh son it's ok"
"No it's not and the fact that she's moved on"
"Really but you've moved on to"
"Yea a month after she did" I replied looking at my watch
"I gotta go"
"Wait do you have a picture of your new girlfriend" she said as I pulled out my phone revealing a picture of me and Emma
"She's very beautiful"
"Yea she is when I saw her standing at the desk with that red hair I was sold" I said standing up
"At least she's making my boy happy" she hugged me
Meredith's POV
I have been dating Tom for 7 months now. I met him at the hospital after he moved from Chicago he's a plastic surgeon with a certification in General surgery so he's very smart and very easy on the eyes. He's like a dad to Christopher but he says that he doesn't want to take anything away from Derek.
I miss Derek all the time but I have moved on we haven't been working for a while and Christopher fixed that until he left then everything came back to me about our downs instead of up.
"So babe when's Derek getting here?" Tom asked
"7:00 I think" I replied
"Do you want me to leave when he comes"
"No you can stay but if you feel awkward then ok"
"No it's fine I'll stay" he said kissing my cheek then walking off.

So they've moved on but drama to come.
