Funeral

Few days later
"Derek do we really need to go I just don't want feel comfortable going" she said
I've been trying to comfort her for the past few days it was working but as it got closer to his funeral she got worse.
"Meredith you'll regret not going you'll regret not saying goodbye" I said pulling her in for a hug
"Yea your right but never let go of me during the service ok" she asked
"Of course I won't" I replied placing a kiss on her head
At the funeral
We got near the end of the ceremony when I felt Meredith let go and I saw her start running.she had been crying into my chest the entire time at my shirt had a wet patch on it. As Cristina saw her run away she was going to run after her but I stopped her
"Let me talk to her first" I said before I started running after her.
When I got to where she was she was sitting against a giant oak tree she looked up as she saw my shadow in front of her
"Derek how did you do this with your dad?" She asked as I sat down next to her
"Well I drank a lot with my friends but then i also sat on a cliff that was looking over Maine and u say and I cried but I always had the people to support me and the people who didn't" I replied wrapping my arm around her
"I'm just trying to get over the fact that it's George there putting in the ground"
"I know I know why don't we sit here and talk about our memories with George"
"What do you mean?"
"Well one of my fondest memories of George was when he found out that I had moved in and he was so weirded out that the chief was staying with him"
"Ok I get it well the first day as an intern we all thought he was gay because he remembered in exact detail what I was wearing at the party the night before" she said before a heard of people walked by
"Grey, Shepherd we're going to get drunk you coming?" Alex asked
"Yea why not" Meredith said before my phone rang it was a number I didn't recognise.
"Hello" I said
"Hello is this Derek" the voice asked but a voice I recognised way to well
"George?"

Oh plot twist with a cliff hanger I'm so mean but is he or is he not dead what do you guys think.......
