It was chilly for September, but Emma didn't mind. It gave her the chance to wear her favorite red leather jacket. She pulled it on over a black tank top and jeans and headed out the door of her small apartment. Storybrooke had been relatively quiet lately, no evil queens of darkness or curse getting in her way. Emma almost felt normal. Then she remembered that her parents were Snow White and Prince Charming and she was dating a 300 year old one handed pirate and nothing was normal, but she wouldn't have it any other way. Emma love with Killian, she found it hard to admit it to herself, but deep down, Emma knew. Her heart skipped a beat when she thought about meeting him and found herself walking faster. Finally Granny's came into view, along with a lone, dark figure leaning against the side.
" 'Ello, Love." said the figure in a thick Irish accent, extending a hand.

"Hey Killian." Emma smiled at her boyfriend and took his hand.

"What'dya say we go get some breakfast, aye?" Killian gave her his cute little grin that made Emma's heart melt and led her into the diner. They slid into their usual booth in the corner and Ruby came and brought them their drinks, without them even having to order. Emma got her hot coco with cinnamon and Killian got his black coffee which he spiked with rum from the flask he always carried around. Emma reached out and took Killian's hand again, taking a sip of her hot coco with the other

"David gave me the day off at the station, wanna do something?" Emma asked him.

"I don't think David gave you the day off to be with me, love." Killian chuckled, rubbing his thumb in little circles on her knuckle. Emma's dad wasn't too fond of Killian, but what father would want his daughter to be dating a pirate?

"Well I can take care of myself." Emma rolled her eyes

"I don't doubt you, Swan." Killian winked at her. Emma reached into her pocket and pulled out some money and placed it on the table, grabbing her coco and her boyfriend's hand, and pulling him out of Granny's. He hooked his coffee on his hook and followed.

Emma and Killian walked across the street to where Emma's yellow bug waited, they both hopped in and Emma revved up the engine.

"Where to?" she asked, backing out of her spot, "The docks?" she took the words out of his mouth before he even opened it. Killian smiled.

"You know me so well, Swan." He smiled at her. Emma just shrugged, he always wanted to go to the docks.

Since Storybrooke was so small, it only took them five minutes to get across town and to the docks. Emma pulled into the lot and hopped out. Killian met her and they interlaced their fingers, swinging their arms as they walked onto the 'Jolly Roger', Killian's ship. His hooked hand that wasn't interlocked with Emma's skimmed the ship's railing lovingly. Emma sometimes thought that KillIan loved the ship more than he loved her, but then she remembered that he gave up this very ship to save her.

Emma gently let go of Killian's arm and walked over to the railing, staring up at the fall sky. It was overcast, as always in Maine, but Emma always found beauty in it's bleakness. She watched an airplane zip through the sky, thousands of feet up. Suddenly, the airplane started to get bigger, as if it was landing soon. But there wasn't an airport around here. Emma watched the airplane's descent. As it got closer, she noticed two things, one, that it wasn't an airplane at all, and, two, it was headed right towards them.

"Killian," Emma called for him. Killian emerged from the captain's office and walked over to her.

"Yes, love?" he asked, seeing the worry in her eyes.

"What IS that?" Emma pointed at the thing in the sky. Killian shook his head.

"Dunno." he shielded his eyes with his hand, trying to get a good look, when his eyes widened in realization.
