Flashback- 6 years ago.
The 9 year old girl sat, feet dangling over 1,000ft as she questioned herself whether or not to end it all. Her breathing was jagged from the crying she'd done which was why her eyes were all red as the rain was coming down heavier each time.

Her mind flashed to all the worse things in life. She hasn't smiled in months, maybe even years from what her father had done. She'd never had good memories in her life, spending years with the man that had caused her to do this, he'd ruined his own daughters life. She looked down at the water that was feet deep and so cold would kill you after a minute of being in there. To say she was nervous was an understatement but as she thought about the nights she spent begging for her father not to hit her, begging for him to give her food as she was so hungry and begging for him to not touch her in a sexual way but he never listened. He'd do it anyway.

"Hey!" She seen a car suddenly stop in the darkness but his car lights was still on so she seen him walking closer making her heart rate pick up. She suddenly screamed at him, "Stop! Stop walking towards me." She cried out and he instantly stopped. His frightened face had worry written all over it, she looked you young to end her life, he questioned himself on what had happened to her. The gush on her forehead and the bruise on her eye let him know it wasn't so good.

"I'm sorry! I've stopped." He quickly told her before he'd jump. He was the only one out right now as he was travelling to the airport to go home to see his girlfriend and her family. He had a suit on from being in a meeting and quickly his shirt became see threw but he didn't care, he didn't even notice the rain.

"I'm Wilmer! I'm not going to hurt you, I promise. I'll stay here if you want me to? Why're you doing this to yourself? Huh, sweetie." He asked her and slowly but carefully stepped over the railings of the bridge and looked down seeing the violent waves and his heart beat stopped for a second. "Wow, that's high." He whispered but the little girl watched him closely.

"I want to escape! I need to leave." Her pleading voice squeaked out and Wilmer could sense the plea in her voice. She was wanting a way out, Wilmer stared intently at the little girl. She was hurting.

"Don't. You'll regret it when your on your way down, I promise you that. That's not the right way out, I know your hurting and you can't take it anymore but it's not worth it. Your young sweetie and-" the younger girl instantly cut him off as he was a metre away from her. Her hair was sticking to ear face as her dirty clothes soaked through. She looked exhausted.

"But I've seen a lot, been through a lot. The world is cruel and I can't cope, God chose the wrong person to live this life." Her lower lip shivering fro my he cold but couldn't back down, she needed to go. She was having trouble coming to a conclusion as Wilmer tried to talk her out of it.

"No, you haven't seen the best of life yet. Yeah, world can sometimes be cruel but I promise you that I'll get you out. I'll do something for you, what do you need?" Wilmer kept ahold of the railings as he could fall any minute now, it scared him and all he could think about was Demi but he needed to help her. Now, he was taking bigger steps but the girl wasn't stopping him anymore. She allowed him to walk closer and as soon as he was inches away he wrapped her tall, built frame around the little girl but she didn't move. She just about allowed it, 'it felt so good to be hugged' she though to herself as her head rested on his chest as she was a lot smaller than him.

"What I'm going to do, is take you away from this town. Who're you hiding from?" Wilmer asked instantly. Her whole body was shaking from both the cold and the nervousness of where they was standing here.

"I'm going to give you this card, A bank card. Now, it has a LOT of money on and I'm going to take you to somewhere called rehab. It's an amazing place, it'll help you get away from- My dad." She finished for him and he handed her a blue card. She'd never had one before so looked at the numbers confused until he explained she nodded. He gave her a number to an account which was his but he'll get a new one and monitor hers to see if she's okay.

"Babygirl, you will regret this decision. So are you coming in my car are destroy your life before it's even started?" She looked down again and then at the black car which door was over and he awaited. Things run through her mind.

"I'm not going with you, To some place called Re-" she stopped herself a little but Wilmer smiled at the younger girls decision. He was so proud of her for choosing a good decision.

"Rehab." Then he climbed over and lifted her after him which she gladly allowed and stared as she looked back on the town.

She finally escaped from Patrick.

"Whats your name?" Wilmer asked the younger girl who was sitting in the front seat with him but was quite and scared.

"Devon."

End Flashback-

The girl now 15, walked out of rehab for the 2nd time with a straight face. She looked around for her 29 year old auntie who was her guardian now, she found out she had a auntie after she was in an orphanage for a year after she got out of rehab for the first time. Natalie was married and had a 2 year old daughter which loves Devon and she finally had someone to talk to which was Natalie. She pulled out her phone when she heard it ringing, she forgot she had a phone after she'd only just got it back.

"Where are you Nat?" The younger girl questioned, irritated that she was late. Natalie was the worse person for being late, she was late for everything.

"I'm so sorry babygirl. I know you'd only just got out but I'm swamped at work and Andrew is picking up Arial, Andrew was Natalie's husband which she hasn't too fond off. It wasn't that he wasn't a great husband because he was and Devon knew he was an amazing guy to Natalie, she hated going by any guys and flinched whenever someone she didn't know touch her.

"It's fine Nat. I can- just walk I guess. Later." She ended the phone call before Natalie spoke again and started walking. It'd been so long since she walked through she streets of England and it was cold because it was near Christmas but she didn't mind. As soon as she stopped at a shop she needed a drink.

She couldn't believe Natalie ditched her when she hadn't seen her for months, but she felt bad because it was near Christmas and Natalie always works her ass of for us to by things which I love.

"Hi, uh can I have this." She placed a bottle of juice on the counter and the woman behind smiled and nodded at her. Devon was tired at this moment but so many things was happening right now. She was scared she'd go back to her old ways as everything would get too much, Natalie thinks too much of her. She thinks Rehab fits you but it doesn't, it just helps you.

"That'll be £1." The woman smiled and Devon looked through her pockets she didn't even know if she had any money as she was too interested in thought. For the past year she kept her mind away form the past and focuses on the future, which is what her therapist away.

Devon suddenly pulled out a card. She stared at the card repeatedly, she wondered where it came from? She suddenly remembered a code for it.

"Wilmer." She smiled to herself at how he helped her like he said.
