He held her in his arms for the last time as her life began to fade away.
"Kier." she coughed as she tried to tell him one last thing.
"Y-yes? Tell me, what is it, Anne?" He asked through tears.
"I love you Kieran. I always have. Ever since we were little I--" she coughed painfully. "Kier, do me a favor."
Kieran found enough strength through his tears and sobs to answer her. "Anything. A-anything at all."
"Be fantastic." As she had always said to him, but now for the last time, with tears rolling down her cheeks. and then she whispered something barely audible, "Remember me."
Her body lay still in Kieran's arms as he and her body both sat in a pool of her blood. Kieran, feeling many emotions, decided right there and then, that he would take up Seishin's offer. He would help Ashuri fight crime on the streets of Yūki-shi. He would avenge his Anne Marie.
Kieran screamed in anguish, and as he sobbed over Anne Marie's body, he gently sang his princess fast asleep.
"Anne Marie, believe me, I love you too."
