Oswald limps to the back room of his lounge as fast as he can. Infuriated from embarrassment and defeat. You don't know why because, you're just his assistant and he never tells you anything. Tears fill his eyes as he slams the door. He paces back and forth trying to control his breathing. You run to the door to see if he's okay. "Mr. Cobblepot?" You place your ear on the door. Feeling a lump forming in his throat, Oswald turns around like a flash and swings his fist at the small mirror next to the door. You jump at the sound of it shattering as he grabs his hand and stumbles backward. You swing open the door to find Oswald sitting on the couch in the middle of the room clenching his hand, tears beginning to fall from his pale blue eyes. You kneel down in front of him and cup his face in your hands, wiping his tears away with your thumbs. "Whatever happend, it's okay." You whisper, taking him into your arms. He sighs as he buries his head in your hair.
