This chapter is dedicated to all those people who have lost their childhood bestfriend, are asked to tolerate bullying and have impulsively lied to escape situations.

•hi, a lot of people have commented that it seems like a book called "it started with a lie" but I would like to say- Give it time. It's not the same. For sure. I haven't even read the book for me to plagiarise it. And I wouldn't do that to another fellow author.

Do you ever have extremely bad days where the entire world is against you?

Bad days like when you wake up feeeling that you've been awake all night, hungover without even drinking, cereal is not crisp enough, your clothes aren't ironed at all, the hot water turns off middle of the shower, it's too bright and someone says "Such a pretty day" in their high pitch voice and your parents are grouchier than you are and top of that, it is probably monday

The king of bad days.

My entire life is that one day on repeat.

"Did you check the magazine?", Lily asked in enthusiasm. She picked her cloth bag and opened it. She took out a magazine and motioned it towards us. "It has featured a special interview of youngest billionaire in the world"

"Oh my god! Show show show!", Maddy jumped on Lily. Not figuratively, literally. Lily stumbled at the end of the table but regained the posture to search for the page.

I peeked and saw the head lines and the cover picture. The picture was of a very handsome man.  The kind of men Europeans probably based sculptures on. Moden day David. His brown hair perfectly styled while he was wearing a suit which probably cost more than my life, including both my kidneys. I mean, I am a non-alcoholic, my kidney are a dream. Daniel Knight : The Youngest Billionaire! the article headline read.

"I wish I marry him or something", Lily drooled at the picture.

"I just wish I meet him", Maddy reasoned.

"In the washroom cubicle without clothes?", Lily joked and Maddy laughed.

Maddy made an eye contact with me and her expression fell. I looked away from her. Lost deep in my thought, I zoned out from the cafeteria 's noise.

"..And then Rose complimented my skirt", Maddy chirped. Both the girls sitting next to her giggled in unison. I looked around to see if there was something funny or hilarious happening but I found nothing.

"I don't like Rose",I muttered. Maybe what I had said disrupted their conversation as they stopped midway and looked at me. I flipped the pages of Cat on a hot tin roof and started reading the first line.

"You don't like anybody, Kiara", Maddy rolled her eyes. "And let's face the fact, nobody likes you too"

I can't believe Maddy was defending Rose. Maddy and I have been friends since we were just children going to pre - school and Maddy is choosing to defend Rose who she met two weeks back maybe.

Angry, flustered I picked my bag and books together and walked towards the exit of cafeteria. You could blame it on my luck, as soon as I caught pace, I bumped into some body.

Rose.

That's it. My life is officially a living hell.

Rose Classe was the head cheer leader. She was basically the it girl of our high school. The version of Regina George before she got hit by a bus. That means- she was unbearable.  Everybody liked her, of course. I mean, maybe if they ever saw away from her breasts, they'd see how unnecessarily mean she is to people. One of the reasons why I don't like coming to school anymore.
