Chapter Three:More?

Start from the beginning

"Oh, would you like to share," Tony asks.

"It was a dream. A dream that'll never happen," I say lowly.

"Why do you say that," Natasha asks.

"I say it because Loki and I can never be. We're on opposite sides. It doesn't help when S.H.I.E.L.D. is looking for him," I say.

We elapse into silence after that. I twirl my spoon around. I'm staring smugly at my food.

"Do you have something against food or," Clarice trails.

"Huh," I ask, looking up.

"Do you have something against food? You're giving it a dirty look," Clarice says. Steve nudged her.

"Be nice," Steve whispered to her. Clarice frowned in return.

"Come on, it's the truth," Clarice whispered back.

Natasha is frowning at me. Tony is staring at the ceiling. Clarice and Steve are staring at each other. Steve lightened up. He stared at her with compassion. She stared at him the same way. Kind of reminds me how Loki would stare at me. I almost smile but stop myself. That makes me smirk.

"What's wrong? Are you not hungry," Natasha asks.

"Nothing's wrong. I'm not hungry," I say.

"Even after you missed dinner," Steve asked.

"Yes," I say a little low.

Tony slams his hand on the table. All of us stare at him.

"Is something wrong? Because you're not being your usual fun and active self. Ever since we got here you've been quiet. All you've done is be in you're room. Don't go and block everyone out now. We're here for you. So just talk to us," Tony says staring me in the eye.

"Nothing's wrong. I'm not blocking you guys out. I just don't want to talk about it," I say.

"Well I want you to. I'll go get Thor if I have to."

"Then go get Thor!"

"Fine!"

Tony gets up and exits the cafeteria. Everyone else stays silent. Good. A few minutes later Tony walks in with Thor in tow. They soon reach us. Thor looks tired. He looks like he was just woken up. Probably was. His hair is all messy and tangled. Thor stares at me.

"What did you need Tony," Thor asked, his voice a bit hoarse.

"Can you get Araceli to talk," Tony asks.

"If she doesn't want then she doesn't have to."

"Don't you see how she's acting? Not talking to anyone."

"What's there to say? The person I love just pops back in my life. Am I supposed to act normal? Like he never exsited. That's not possible Tony. You never have that feeling because you never stay with one person. If you did then you would have feelings inside of you. Like when you see them your body burns up with desire. Or their voice makes you feel so alive. And everyone once in a while you'll get the feeling of losing that person. Like I'm afraid I'm going to lose Loki sometimes. And that feeling scares me to death. But I deal with it. No one wants that feeling, but we all experience it. All but you since you can never settle down," I say.

Everyone stares at me either awe struck or shocked. I just confessed losing Loki infront of them. It's the truth. Sometimes I'm so scared of losing him. But I just act like it doesn't happen. Loki coming back in my life is seriously affecting me. I'm never this mean to anyone. I ran a hand through my hair.
