"Finally, we thought you'd got lost or something," Ryder said jokingly while looking down at her cell phone, looking to be texting someone.

Carmela laughed and nodded in agreement, "Yeah, we were about ten seconds from call a search party for you."

Not wanting them to know what I was really doing and why it was taking so long, I gave a short laugh, "Sorry, there was a... line, it's like everyone decided to use the restroom at the same time or something."

Ryder seemed satisfied with my answer and smiled, "Oh God, I hate when that happens, I'd rather hold it for eternity than wait in line at a public restroom," she said before looking back down at her phone, smiling even wider then before. I had a feeling it wasn't a girl she was texting, rather a boyfriend.

Looking towards Carmela again, my smile dropped as our eyes connected. Unlike Ryder it seemed Carmela hadn't bought my little excuse and if the quizzical look on her face was anything to go buy then I knew she at least doubted my excuse was actual truth.

Not being the type of person to beat the truth out of you, Carmela didn't call me out on my lie, instead she gave me a grin, "Alright, I think we've waited long enough, it's time to shop," looking from Ryder to me she asked, "What store do you guys want to hit first?"

Not really knowing what to say, I responded with a shrug right as Ryder chimed in, "Let's do Macy's first. I need to stack up on my sweaters for winter and I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere they are having a sale."

Carmela nodded in agreement to Ryder's suggestion before they both looked at me expectantly. Realizing what they were waiting for, I quickly nodded as well, "Uh yeah, sounds great." And so, we set off through the crowded mall in search of our first shopping destination.

It's been maybe an hour since we started shopping, we've been through almost ten or more store and I haven't bought one thing. Even though the girls tried more than a few times to talk me into buying things, I just couldn't get myself to do it.

It's not like I wasn't having fun or happy to be out with the girls, I just couldn't stop myself from overthinking. Every time we'd go into a store, I would see something I thought was nice, then get the courage to look at the price tag all to hurriedly put it back when I realized how much the item was. And it wasn't as if the girls were going into massively expensive stores, I just knew my funds were limited and I knew I really didn't need any of the things I thought were appealing.

However, Carmela and Ryder had no problem picking up things they liked, trying them on and buying said items. As we now walked out of a clothing store, the girls had about five bags each now including their recent purchases. Ryder had picked up some type of flashy neon green crop top that would definitely go with her personality and Carmela bought a pair of high-heeled booties for the winter season coming up.

Once we were making our way through the crowded halls of the mall again, I was instantly getting the look from each of the girls. Knowing what was coming I quickly looked around in search of a store to go in to before the questioning and opinions came about my lack of shopping.

Spotting a boutique coming up off to the right of our little group, I instantly dashed towards it, knowing the girls were following behind me. Once inside, I stopped immediately as I took in the sight before me.

"Wow Amelia, nice pick, I love this boutique they have the best clothes. Prices are a little steep though, but the clothes from here are well worth it... in my opinion," Carmela said as her and Ryder stopped beside me.

"Yeah, I totally agree. They have something in here for everybody," Ryder said before nudging my shoulder playfully, "Even me and all my colorfulness," She finished with an excited laugh before shooting off towards one side of the store.
