Frozen

Scribblings of a madman
Frenzied etchings of a frozen Insanity
The lights don't work
Memories of yesterday caress the corners of the madness.

The beast comes a calling
Bits of skin and blood cling to the ends of the earth
Mother left her madness behind
On the kitchen counter
Amongst the crumbs of this half eaten life.

Frozen hearts dance in the twilight
As the piper plays his tune
His eyes hold a Insanity
A secret hides In the corners of his mind.

One look maybe, one touch perhaps
Just to feel this heart, beat a different melody
Angels don't appear when you bow down and call their name.

Broken down mystics walk this frozen world, proclaiming virtues they no longer believe.

The dark times claim our souls
Flowers wither, heads bent In shame
A child cries within the covers of his existence.

Frozen In this realm, we call home
The soul breaks, the heart cries
Maybe one touch, one look of love
Fairy tales of yesteryear we hold on to
Frozen in time, frozen in life.
