*Lilianne P.O.V*
Christy and Kevin came into my bedroom holding hands. They're perfect for each other. I thought to myself. Christy seemed to be leaning into Kevin a little.
"How are you feeling Anna?"
"I feel so much better but my legs don't seem to be working properly"
"How so?"
"They can't support me fully. It hurts when I stand and I need someone to help me walk"
"You could just use a walking stick"
"I want to lean against you, plus a walking stick would make me feel self conscious"
"Whatever makes you happy" He seemed annoyed but smiled with genuine happiness and Christy smiled back the same way.
"What's the plan now?"
"Well, me and Kevin have some leads of the whereabouts of the next gem family"
"Really?"
"You're so cute when your eyes light up, just like when we were kids and you saw ice cream"
"Your eyes lit up at ice cream?" He laughed and Christy's cheeks turned scarlet. She moved away from him, her face pained for a moment then slumped down on my bed.
"Why'd you have to bring that up? And for your information it wasn't all ice cream, it was only bubble gum ice cream that I got excited about" she crossed her arms over her chest and pouted.
"Okay, I'm sorry. I agree. You do look cute when your eyes light up" Her pout disappeared and her cheeks grew redder but she didn't uncross her arms.
"Thank you Kevin Emerald, now where do you think he/she is?"
"Oh, yeah. She lives in South Wintershine and often volunteers at the nursery and likes to eat at a certain café called The Shine of Snow."
"So, how about me and Kevin go to the café, you can go to their house and Natsu, Lucy and Happy go to the nursery?"
"Exactly what I was going to suggest, you know me well sister"
"Yes, yes I do"
"Well, you two need to go get dressed and I'll tell Natsu and Lucy the plan"
"Okay!"
*Natsu P.O.V*
Lilianne had explained the plan to us, and after seeing Christy alive and well we set off for Wintershine's local nursery. Lucy was skipping ahead of me, humming a tune to herself. I'll give her the necklace today! I took the black box out of my bag. "Hey, Luce" she turned around and smiled at me. She's in a really good mood, I hope she likes it...
"Yeah? What's that?"
"I wanted to get you something for being a great friend"
"You didn't have to do that! Being with you is the best gift you could give me" She looked down and fiddled with her thumbs, a blush rising to her cheeks.
"Lucy..."
"Natsu, do you like me?" Her voice came out small and quiet and she kept her head down.
"Lucy, I've liked you for a long time. I just couldn't tell you because I was too embarrassed to. So, I'm glad you asked that"
"Natsu!" Now she looked up, tears running down her face. She threw her arms around me. "I love you Natsu"
"And I love you Lucy" we separated and I showed her the box. "Here" She took it and when she opened it, her face brightened.
"Natsu, it's beautiful!" What I had got her was a necklace with diamonds and sapphires in them. "Can you help me put it on?"
"Sure" she turned around and lifted her hair up and I fastened the necklace around her neck. "I'm glad you like it"
"Hehe, thanks Natsu. I love the sapphires and diamonds" that reminded me of something.
"I forgot we were supposed to be looking for the next gem"
"Oh no! Let's hurry"
"Right" when we arrived at the nursery, the receptionist told us that we had just missed a girl with a gem for a surname. "Let's just go home. Plus, I need to see if Happy ransacked the fridge"
"What?!"
"If it crosses my mind, it will certainly cross his"
"You two are unbelievable" we ran back to the hotel, hand in hand.
*Lilianne P.O.V*
I had gone to her house and they said that their daughter was out for the day, but I was welcome to stay until she got back. Her parents were very kind and told me lots of stories about their adventures as kids.
*Christiana P.O.V*
We were sitting on the chairs outside the café, so we could catch this gem family member more easily. "We've been here for an hour already, where could she be?"
"Patience is a virtue"
"I guess you're right about that" Suddenly, we heard a girl scream and soon after we saw people running out of the library. "Wait here"
"But Kevin!" He had already left, running into the library. He did that on purpose! I tried to stand up but my legs just wouldn't support me and I fell back into my seat. Someone wrapped their arms around me and lifted me out of my chair. "Hey, boss! I got a good looking one here!" Good looking? If this isn't Deo or Tio, then who? He ran off towards a boarded up building. "Let me go!"
"You're gonna make us a lot of money"
"What?!" When we were inside, he threw me into a dark cage.
"We'll get you two ready soon" then he left. Two? It's so dark that I can't even see my hands in front of my face. "Hello?"
"Christy?!"
"Lucy-chan?! What are you doing here?"
"Some thugs ambushed me and Natsu at the hotel and took me here"
"Do you know why we're here?"
"They're planning to sell us to other men as sex toys, slaves, whatever they can think of"
"That's horrible!"
"Yeah, but I know Natsu and Kevin will get us out of here!"
"How can you be sure?"
"Natsu gets pretty pissed when someone messes with his friends and Kevin loves you and won't give up until he finds you"
"True...hehe Natsu-kun is pretty stubborn, isn't he"
"Yep, and his nose will lead them to us"
"How?"
"Never doubt that dragon slayers nose"
"I hope they find us soon"
"Have faith Christy, they'll be here"
"Okay!" Just then one of the thugs opened the cage door and grabbed Lucy's arm. "Lucy-chan!"
"It'll be your turn soon enough, sit tight"
"Let me go!"
"Topaz's Brilliance!" A beam of golden light came from my palms and knocked the thug into a wall, knocking him unconscious.
"Nice going Christy! Thanks"
"What are guild members for?"
"Let's go!"
"Right!" We ran off towards the direction the thug had came from and made it to two doors. "Which way?"
"Um...that one" Lucy pointed at the right door, when we went through it we were ambushed by a group of thugs. "Open Gate of the Archer, Sagittarius!" A man in a horse suit appeared holding a bow and arrow.
"What can I do for you Miss Lucy?"
"Help us take out these thugs"
"Certainly" He shot arrows at the thugs, in places that wouldn't kill them but injure them greatly. Lucy was whipping them back and kicking them unconscious.
"Lucy Kick!"
"Blinding Topaz Flurry!" Not long after there were no more thugs left.
"Thanks Sagittarius"
"Anytime Miss Lucy, please take care" He disappeared and we went on and made it outside. But to our dismay, there was a large thug blocking our way to run back into town. "You're not going anywhere"
"Oh, yeah? Open Gate of the-aaahhh!" Suddenly Lucy screamed out in pain, holding her head.
"Lucy-chan?!"
The large thug was holding his hands towards Lucy and me, but I didn't feel anything. "Leave Lucy-chan alone!"
"How come you're not affected?"
"Stop hurting her!" He put his hands down and Lucy fainted. I instantly ran down to her side. "Lucy-chan!" I placed my hands above her body and they glowed yellow.
"I figured it out" I barely heard what he said and kept healing Lucy.
"You're a light magic wizard. That's why it didn't work" this time I heard him, but I continued to heal her.
"So what?"
"And I'm a dark magic wizard" Finished, I turned towards the thug.
"Why are you doing something so disgusting and repulsive?"
"You don't seem to be listening to me, maybe this will help you" He put his hands in front of him and a purple mist surrounded itself around me. They turned into chains that glowed an eerie purple, they lifted me off the ground and started to tighten around me. "Aaahhhh!!!" I felt my magic energy start to drain away.
"Now that I've got your undivided attention. I do this because I find it fun. All the scared little girls trembling before me"
"Y-you're sick" The chains grew tighter. "Ahhhh!!!!"
"I don't need one of the little girls judgement on my life, let's get this over with" The chains turned blue and I felt my magic energy flow out of me in waves. "L-let L-Lucy-chan g-go..." My vision became blurry as I begged him to let Lucy go.
"You're life is in danger and it's your friend you're worried about. I admire you for that, too bad it's not gonna happen" I lost consciousness as I hit the ground.
*Natsu P.O.V*
We were running through a deserted part of Wintershine, with boarded up buildings as far as the eye could see. I had found the girls scents and we were getting closer to them with every step. Those bastards are gonna be sorry when I get my hands on them. They're gonna pay for hurting my friend and new girlfriend. A slight smile tugged at my lips. I will save you two no doubt about that. I stopped in front of a building that looked like it used to be a shopping centre of some sort. "They're in there" Me and Kevin ran into the building and silently made our way around the old shopping centre. We heard a lot of voices coming from a certain room and went in to investigate. We saw loads of cages lined up next to each other with teenage girls in them wearing nothing but they're underwear and men were crowding around them. In one of the cages, I saw Lucy holding Christy close to her, she seemed to be unconscious. "How do we get to them without being seen?"
"Easy, there are two men standing away near the doorway"
"I see em', what do we do with them?"
"Take them out then take their appearances"
"Why can't you explain it normally?"
"Just come on" I followed Kevin around the room and we grabbed the two guards and knocked them unconscious before they could make a sound. "Take his coat, hat and shoes. We'll be too noticeable in these"
"Right" we were now dressed in long trench coats, fedoras and loafers. "Let's get our girls back"
"Don't blow your cover until it's necessary. Okay, Natsu?"
"You don't have to keep telling me, I got it"
"Then let's go" we walked into the room and past the cages, we were nearing Lucy and Christy until a large man stopped us.
"I'm Bob, see any girls you like? We're having a sale today, all woman half price" it took all my strength to not Fire Dragon Iron Fist this guys face in, I deepened my voice before I answered. "Yes, we like the look of the ones in the cage at the end"
"Ah! Excellent choice, so would you like to try them out?"
"Excuse me?"
"You must be new here, let me show you what I mean. Hey Larry! Bring the blondes!"
"Yes sir!" A man left and returned with Lucy and Christy. "One of em' still unconscious boss, what should we do with it?"
"Just put it in the torture chamber, they can deal with it"
"Christiana!" The Larry handed Lucy over to Bob and left with Christy. Kevin whispered into my ear as Bob kept shouting for someone called John. "I'm going after Christy, once you get Lucy. Get outta here, don't wait up for us"
"Good luck"
"Same with you" Kevin turned around and left as John came running towards us.
"Yes sir?"
"Would you please demonstrate for the young gentleman here"
"Certainly sir" a smirk came across his face as he pushed Lucy to the ground.
"Let me go!" He started to kiss Lucy, that made me snap.
"FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST!!!!" I punched John off of Lucy and pulled her close to me.
"N-Natsu! I knew you'd come!"
"Who are you?!"
"My name is Natsu Dragneel and don't you forget it"
"Get him!"
"Fire Dragon Roar!" Fire erupted from my mouth knocking several men to the ground and the rest went running. "Get back here you cowards!"
"Don't you ever think about putting your hands on my girlfriend ever again"
"I'm not afraid of you"
"Well you should be"
"No one asked for your opinion girl"
"Don't you talk to Lucy like that! FIRE DRAGON BRILLIANT FLAME!!!" The flames engulfed Bob and I ran off with Lucy in my arms. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you?"
"Bob did something to my head to make me faint"
"Well, I brought it to him"
"Hehe, thanks Natsu"
"No problem"
"So, about you calling me your girlfriend?"
*Christiana P.O.V*
I woke up in a dark cellar, chained to the wall. I tried to use my magic but it didn't work. I think the chains were disabling my magic energy. I heard footsteps and one of the thugs came into the cell. "It's torture time"
"W-what are you g-going to do to me?"
"All kinds of terrible things little girly, what should we start with? Ah, yes! The electrifyer" He turned to me with a long metal rod with a tridents end. I backed away from him but there was only so far I could go, soon enough my back was against the wall. "I'm gonna enjoy this" He thrust the electrifyer and when it made contact with me, electricity ran through my body. I screamed out in pain. He kept electrocuting me and I kept screaming, over and over again until my vision darkened. "Next up is whipping time"
"P-please s-stop..."
"Nope, got orders from the boss to torture you to my hearts content" He brought down the whip and it connecting with my skin left burns and gashes in my skin. He whipped every part of my body, making sure that it left marks and if it didn't he would whip me there again but harder to leave a mark. I cried silently because my throat hurt from the screaming from before. Then he undid my chains and threw a bundle of clothes at me, later did I realise that they were my clothes and slowly put them back on. When he reached to chain me again, I striked. "Light burst!" It blew him away from me and into the cellar wall, I tried to stand up to escape but the gashes on my legs stopped me from doing so. I fell back to the ground and cried until I lost consciousness.
*Kevin P.O.V*
I ran towards the sound of Christiana screaming, and when it stopped I was in front of two doorways. "Come on Kevin. Concentrate" I closed my eyes and tried to sense her life force, it was a weak one but came strongest from the left route. I ran down it, taking out the men along the way. Finally, I arrived at some cellars which sat next to each other. I saw Christiana lying on the ground in the second one, I rushed and picked her up. She had a pulse. "Thank the Lord..." Her face was tear streaked and she was twitching slightly. I heard police sirens above us. I ran out with Christy in my arms and when I got to the hotel, I laid her in bed. "Sleep well Christiana" I went out the others in the lounge. Lucy was missing. "How's Lucy?"
"Fine thanks to Christy, that Bob guy did something with dark magic to Lucy's head and she healed her. She's resting right now. What about Christy?"
"Christy seems fine, she was unconscious when I found her though"
"And we're no closer to finding the gem family member either"
"This is getting annoying"
"We can't give up on her! She's the only one able to defeat Deo and destroy his dark dimension. We need to find this gem!"
"Calm down Lilianne, Natsu isn't saying that we give up. He's just pissed that his friends keep getting hurt, and I agree with him"
"Then how about we go around on shifts tomorrow?"
"How so?"
"I can take first shift in the morning so you two can keep an eye on the girls and then Natsu can take the afternoon shift since Lucy should be up before then and Kevin can take the evening one"
"I like that idea"
"Me too, great plan Lilianne"
"Thanks Kevin, I just hope that it works"
"Have a little faith in yourself"
"Okay! We all went into our rooms to sleep. I think I'll let Christy sleep alone tonight. I fell asleep feeling cold without her body warmth next to me.
