Magnus POV

When Alec and I left the guest room that housed Kate. I looked at my boyfriend and said," You idiot why did you bring a little girl here?"

"Magnus listen I know it was a stupid move but I couldn't let her get away and tell what she saw. Please let her stay."

I looked at Alec and realized something just by looking at him besides the part that he is hot. I realized that Alec knew something I didn't. "Alec why did you say stay instead of stay for the night?"

Alec hesitated for a moment before speaking. "OK Kate can't go home. Her parents were killed by wolfs four years ago when she was six. I saw her before, she didn't know please Magnus let her stay."

I looked into the guest room. Kate was curled up in the bed. She looked quit small for a mundane of ten years old. Kate couldn't of been more then 55 pounds and four feet tall. I felt bad for her and I guess by the way Alec is asking for her to stay so does he. "Fine Kate can stay."

Kate's POV The Next day

I woke up to the smell of bacon. Climbing out of the bed I walked into the kitchen to find Magnus and Alec it the kitchen. I sat down on a stool at the island in the kitchen. Alec turned around with a plate of bacon and eggs in his hand. "Good morning Kate," Alec said. He handed me the plate. I looked up at him and said thank you. "Your welcome Kate. Now I want to now where I'll be dropping you off at after this."

I dropped my fork on the plate and looked up at Alec. Alec had a serious look on his face. I gulped before saying," It's fine I'll walk home."

"No I insist I drive you home . You never know what walks around New York."

I couldn't let them find out that I have nothing and no body. I stood up and walked toward the door. Saying good bye I opened the door. As I tried to step through the door but it was closed. I turned around do look at Alec and Magnus. "How did the door do that," I asked as I backed away from the door.

"Listen Kate I'll tell you if you tell us where your parents are." Magnus said.I couldn't tell them they'd send me somewhere. Magnus sighed and walked over to me. He placed his hands on my shoulders. Looking down I pretended to find interest in my feet. Magnus gently lift my chin to look up at him. "Just tell us Kate. I promise we won't do anything."

"Fine my parents are dead."

Alec's POV

"Fine my parents are dead," Kate said. Once she said that she broke down crying in Magnus's chest. I felt bad for Kate. I saw everything happen and I was their. I tried to save them but I couldn't.

Flashback to Kate's parents death

Jace, Isabell, and I were out fighting some demons. When we heard a wolf howl. "Izzy, Alec what d you think should we find that beast?" Jace asked

"NO Jace we don't wolf run around all the time and nobody gets hurt. You have to get over the fact you want to save the world." I said.

"What the hell Alec all I wanted was to see what was going on," Jace defended himself.

I started walking away from Jace and Izzy. I just needed a break from everything. The next thing I knew I heard a scream. It sounded like a pained scream like they were bitten. Then I knew what it was it was the wolf hurting innocent people. I ran toward the sounds to find a man and woman cut open my teeth. I looked around to find a little girl no more then six backing away from the wolf telling it to sit. The little girl tripped and fell back the wolf stood right above her. I pulled out my seraph blade and stabbed it in the leg. The wolf ran/ limped away. I quickly ran away hoping the girl wouldn't see me. That was when I realized her parents death was my fault.

End of Flash Back

I went over to her and Magnus and held onto Kate. "I know your going to send me away. So I'll save you the trouble. Thank you for the food." Kate tried to pulled away from us.

Suddenly Magnus spoke up and said," No your staying." Thank goodness she can stay since it was my fault she is alone.
