"Aww sweetie it's okay." Kate soothed the crying baby.
Hope's blue eyes continued to tear as she kept crying.
Kate sighed and rocked her.
Usually Rick was able to calm her down.
Hope was clearly a daddy's girl! She always wanted Rick.
Kate was jealous at first but realized it wasn't anything to be jealous of!
She simply wanted daddy.
"Shh, shh." Kate soothed.
Kate looked up at the sound of the door opening.
She smiled as Rick dropped his jacket on the couch.
"Hey!" She said.
Rick smiled and gave Kate a kiss.
"Hey." He said and smiled at Hope.
Hope looked up and gave a huge gummy smile at her father.
Kate smiled and handed Hope to Rick.
"How was the meeting?" Kate asked
. "Pretty good, book sales are really high." He said and she smiled.
"That's great!"
"Yea..When is your mother coming?" he asked.
"She said she'd be here at 12." Kate said knowing her mother wouldn't be late.
"k." He said and sat down.
Hope had fallen asleep in her father's arms quickly.
"I was wondering.." Rick started and Kate raised her brow.
"What?" She asked.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go out tonight." She said and she smiled.
"Why Mr. Castle are you asking me on a date?" She teased and he smiled.
"Well Mrs. Castle I do believe I am." He joked back and she giggled.
"Well then I'd love to go on one after we get off campus." She said and he smiled.
