Chap 12-
1 Week passed and Rick was finally discharged from the hospital.
He was currently on his couch with Kate.
Both were asleep.
Rick woke up with some pain which made Kate stir awake.
"Rick!"
"Just some pain." He grunted.
"Here." She said and went to get his pain meds.
She took out 2 pills and handed him water.
"Thanks."
He took them and washed them down with the water.
She took the glass and put in the sink.
"Kate."
"Ya?"
"Did the doctor say when can I go back to college?"
"The doctor said next week."
"Good." He half smiled.
Kate smiled and sat next to him.
He rubbed his chest a bit and pulled his shirt off, revealing his abs.
"You ok?"
"Ya just a little sore."
he ran a hand over his scars.
"Will they ever disappear?"
He asked as he looked at the 4 scar's on his chest and the 2 scars on his stomach.
"Probably not."
"Do you see me differently now?" He asked, worried.
Ever since he woke up he feared Kate wouldn't love him anymore now that he had so many scars and he was weaker.
He knew he would be able to get back to his sick pack but he still worried.
Kate gasped and realized why he was being distant over the last few days.
