"Kate.."

"NO!" She yelled and paced back and forth.

"Kate it's not my fault ! Gina sprung it on me!"

"She can't." Kate said getting a little more emotional by the second.

Kate and Rick had been married for a year now and had celebrated their 1 year anniversary last week.

They couldn't have been happier..until now.

"Kate please try and understand."

"Rick you..you can't leave!"

"I don't want to, trust me but it's only for 2 months."

"2 months is too long."

"I agree."

He gently took her hand and guided her to sit on his lap as he rubbed her back.

"I'm really sorry."

She wiped her eyes and shook her head.

"it's not your fault."

Kate said and rested her head in the crook of his neck.

"Maybe I can get Gina to push it down to only a month."

"Would you?!" She asked hopefully.

"Of course I would."

He kissed her head and ran his hands through it.

"Thank you."

"Always." He responded with a smile.

"I CAN'T DO THIS!"

Kate yelled and sobbed into her pillow.

Johanna was trying to comfort her.

"Sweetie.."

"No mom, nothing will help!

Rick's been gone for 2 months already and now Gina decides to add another 3 weeks ?!"

"I know sweetie, it's not his fault though."

"I know that." She sniffled.

"It's just so unfair!"

Johanna nodded and rubbed her daughters back. Kate suddenly shot up.

"I'm late to class."

"Want me to drive you?"

"Nah I'll take the ferrari."

Kate said with a small smile.

The first one she's had in forever.

Johanna laughed.

"You can't get enough of it."

"Nah, Rick did say he bought it for us."

Johanna shook her head and laughed.

Kate sighed and grabbed her bag. "Bye mom."

"Bye sweetie."

Kate hugged her mother before walking out of the loft down to the lobby.
