One Small Mistake

Chapter. 2

Hope**

I wanted to tell Kaden I really did but I'm scared. I can't call my grandma because if I have disappointed my mom I know my grandma will be highly disappointed in me. I dialed the one person I know will help me.

"Hey Hope we still hanging out."She asked

"Um...change of plans can I stay at your house for a couple of days."I sniffed

"Oh my god what's wrong."

"I will explain but can I please come."

"Yes you can see you soon."

I ran upstairs to my room packing everything in my suitcase. I grabbed my keys and put all my stuff in the car.

I wiped my face and made my way to Melissa house. I was so happy and relieved when I got there.

She pulled me in the house and up to her room. I put my things down and she looked at me ready for me to talk.

"Look I'm pregnant, I told my mom today and she flipped out kicking me out the house."I explained

"Wait you're pregnant how far are you."

"One month I found last Friday that's also why I haven't been at school because of that."

"I don't want to be noisey but who's the father."

I looked at her and sighed.

"Kaden."I mumbled

"KADEN AS IN KADEN STRICKLAND!"She yelled

"Yes calm down."I groaned

"I didn't even know you guys were together."

"We aren't that's what make things worse."I said laying in her bed

"Please tell me he know."

"Nope."I sighed

I heard her typing away at her phone. I sat up in my bed and she was on my phone. I heard my phone ringing and she put it to her ear.

"What are you doing."I tried getting my phone but fell off the bed in the process

"Hey, Kaden its Melissa um can you come by my house please thank you."She hung up the phone and gave it to me

"Why did you call him."I whined

"You need to tell him."
"I texted him the address since he don't know where I live."She smiled

I whined and sat on the edge of my bed.

"I already lost my mom today what if Kaden doesn't want nothing to do with me either."I whined

I put my face in my hands.

"If he don't then you still have me and what about Rico."

"I don't think Rico wants anything to do with me either, he acts like he do but I know he don't."
"Melissa I let my whole family down."I felt tears streaming down my face

She pulled me in a hug moving my hair out my face.

"Stop crying I don't like seeing you cry."
"On the bright side you have a baby on the way please be happy."

I forced a smile and she smiled back. 

"I love you Melissa."I said

"I love you too girl."

I hugged her tighter and I wiped my face. I started to cool down until that damn doorbell rang. Melissa looked out her window and turned to me with pursed lips.
