I stare into the dead screen
And wonder what has it done for me
Now we care about the brand of cream
That we wear or what people will see
It is bad for them to see the real you
Instead of the person society has created
It would help if you knew
We have all been segregated
You hate to concede
You hate to realize
That we can no longer dream
Because there is no imagination to help us visualize
Imagine it, a perfect world
Where people spoke face to face
Where the truth can easily be unfurled
We are living in a dead place
Everyone is staring at a phone
We no longer want to leave our house
WE don't know that we are really alone
Throw your entire life away in just one click of a mouse
Technology rules us
We no longer can think
Our feelings we no longer can express
It hurts our eyes to merely blink
What we do is controlled
By some measly little sign
That is unfeeling and cold
We are slaves to the world called online
We fill our conversations
Our daily lives
With stupid abbreviations
That will never keep you alive
You sound stupid and dumb
Silly and idiotic
Every time the Internet helps you forget where you come from
You become more robotic
So look away
And step away from the phone
Take a look outside at the day
Don't live your life all alone
The world is a secret
Just waiting for you to unravel
Its up to you to see where it leads
And feel your feet touch the gravel
But you can't do this
If you're locked up in your room
You can't experience this pure bliss
So save your self from the evitable doom

Puzzle Pieces
PoetryThis is a book that is just going to be filled with a bunch of bits and pieces that I found lying around my writing folder... They will probably vary between one shots, short stories, poems, or excerpt that haven't been finished.
