FOREST OF ROPE

Introduction:

Aokigahara Forest, found at the base of Mt Fugi, is the most popular suicide destination in Japan and the second most in the world. Over 100 bodies are reported found there each year.

Alexis and Riley are a socially estranged couple living in San Francisco. Obsessed with the paranormal, Alexis becomes infatuated by Aokigahara and feels compelled to visit it with her faithful and naive boyfriend. The two arrive in Japan as aliens in another world. They soon enter the forest.

As they progress deeper into the eerie wood, it appears Alexis's true intentions are far darker than they seemed and Riley is forced to question the nature of their relationship...

"I humbly thank you.

To sue to live, I find I seek to die;

And, seeking death, find life: let it come on..."
