Harry was wondering the school grounds late one night, everybody was in the castle and probably asleep, he was quite alone. For a while he wondered with the invisibility cloak on but soon took it off, what was the point? There was no one around anyway.

Harry longed for people, for someone to see him and ask if he was ok, but of course there was no one. How strange it was, when he was alone he wanted company and when he was with friends he wanted to be by himself.

Harry looked up at the sky, the moon a tiny wedge looking down at him and he felt even more alone. Just him and his thoughts bearing down on him, him and unreturned love.

Draco was walking around the school grounds thinking. He had managed to produce a corporal Patronus today and luckily he was alone when he did it. He felt sad and lost, the pain unrequited love caused him was deep and painful, like it was slowly killing him from the inside out. He wished that he could feel nothing, wished he could become numb.

Draco looked up at the wedge of a moon, so small and slim and even though it was surrounded by stars it looked sad and lonely, just like him. A wave of loneliness washed over him, he needed something there, something to fill the empty void. He pulled his wand out of his pocket and thought of his happiest memory, it wasn't so much as a memory but a hope, a dream.

"Expecto Patronum" he whispered his thoughts filled with him holding Harry as he slept, His arms wrapped around him and Harry tucked into him, Draco's chin resting on his head. It wasn't anything creepy, it was... sweet. Draco wished it was real.

Draco cast the Patronus and the glow from it filled the night. A young Buck stood before him, it wasn't big and its antlers were nowhere near fully grown but you could see that one day it would be a fine animal, the power of Draco's fantasy made it glow brightly and filled him with hope once again. Maybe he could be with Harry, maybe his love was returned.

It looked at him with sad forlorn eyes and flicked slightly as Draco's Happiness wavered, his reality sinking in, Harry could never love him.

Harry saw something faintly glowing in the distance and for the first time in a while he felt happy. He walked towards the light, making as little noise as possible, not wanting to startle whatever was the cause of it.

As Harry got closer the light got stronger and the feeling of being safe and warm grew. He had to find out what was causing it. He was so close, he could feel the warmth radiating off it, when the light flickered and he felt the weight of the world on his shoulders again, still he wanted to find out the cause. He walked closer till the light was glowing brightly but not as bright as before and what he saw took his breath away, he let out a small gasp.

A glowing young Buck Patronus stood before him, he was small and his antlers weren't anywhere near fully grown but you could see that one day he would be a fine animal, he looked like a younger version of his Patronus the only major difference was the eyes glowed a brilliant green unlike the rest of him which glowed blue like all Patronuses. Harry had never seen anything like it before and he loved it. He was sorry to see it fade away.

Draco heard a small gasp and he nearly fainted, someone was here and had seen his Patronus. He could hear his heat beating and he felt panic rising in his chest. Therefore he was not surprised when the buck faded away. What did surprise him was the person staring at back at him. Someone with bright green eyes and messy black hair.

"Draco" the boy said and Draco did the only logical thing. He ran.

"Draco wait" Harry said running after him. Draco was taller but Harry grew up with the Dursley's. He had speed on his side.

"Draco" he said as he grabbed his arm, bringing him to a halt.

"What?" Draco said, his eyes fearful, what would harry think?

"What was that?" Harry said breathlessly.

"My Patronus" He whispered.

"I know that, I mean why did it look like mine?" Harry replied, his voice full of curiosity. Both boys were fully aware of just how close they were.

"Because I... because it's you" Draco muttered looking down at his feet.

Comprehension dawned on Harry. The glowing green eyes, how it was still young not yet an adult but not a child, the way it stood, just everything about it. It was him. Just like how Snape's was Harry's mother, Draco's was Harry and Harry's heart bloomed with newfound hope.

He lifted Draco's head with his hand, so they were looking eye to eye, brushing Draco's cheek with his thumb he could feel the boy relaxing into him. They were so close almost touching.

"It's ok Draco, I love you too" he murmured before pressing his lips against Draco's.
