(Journal)
I'm walking again. Not because I have to, not because someone's waiting, but because I want to. The streets are quiet, the air crisp, carrying faint hints of flowers from a garden somewhere.
I pull my jacket a little tighter and keep my steps steady, feeling the rhythm of my own heartbeat, my own body moving through a world that feels... simple. Normal. Mine.
I glance at the park as I pass—a group of kids tossing a frisbee, laughter spilling into the air. I pause. Smile faintly. "Life's still messy," I mutter to myself, "but it's good." And I mean it. For the first time in a long while, it really feels good.
The sun dips low, painting long shadows across the street. I inhale, letting the cool evening fill me, and I realize—this is me. Yoichi Isagi. I'm here. I'm living.
And I'll keep living.
No one else needs to know the weight I carried before. It doesn't matter anymore. What matters is now, the steady beat of my steps, the quiet warmth of the day turning into night, and the knowledge that I'm still moving forward—one small, deliberate step at a time.
