I wish I could be more free. That flowers grew where my chest tighten and fists clench. The depth within me longs to be shared, it digs deeper than most people my age and sometimes meeting people who truly see me feels unobtainable. The clarity of being an outsider is being able to see things as they are and mediate the reality of what truly is. But sometimes I wish I could be recognized without being reduced or romanticized. Not by a crowd or a group or on a stage but just being seen for who I am. Not for what I can do or what I can contribute, but for the complex, heartbroken, healing, loving, person I am. I contain a multitude of complexities.
