Episode 1: "Out of Programming Range"

In a highly advanced world, a world filled with technology, cars now fly and airplanes no longer exist. Everything is dominated by technology. People wear their clothes with the help of personal robots that they buy from stores, and they burn fat and exercise with the help of assistant robots called "Muscle Robots," robots created to help humans improve their physical appearance and body shape. There are no longer any restaurants, public shops, or public places. Everything has become isolated within its own small technological society built around robots. Robots have become involved in every aspect of human life, and everyone lives a peaceful, happy, and comfortable life.
In Shigami City, a prosperous and technologically advanced city that looks as if it is living in the year 3833, there is a prestigious institute for Advanced Technology, Scientific Research, and Biological Research. A large number of students study there. Only members of the aristocracy are admitted through their families' influence, while students from poor backgrounds can enter only through exceptional intelligence and academic excellence. A professor named [Dr. Gami], a 45-year-old scientist, arrives to visit the institute.
The entrance bell rings, and [Dr. Gami] enters the lecture hall as the students follow him. The lecture begins in the large auditorium. Among the students is a young woman named [Solar], who is deeply interested in biology and life sciences. She listens carefully to the lecture.
[Dr. Gami]: "Tell me, students... Do you truly believe that the technology we have achieved, the advanced research, and the knowledge that no generation in history has ever reached are entirely beneficial to humanity, or do they harm us?"
A brief silence fills the hall.
One student raises his hand and says:
"I honestly believe it has helped us. It has made our lives easier and improved almost everything."
[Dr. Gami] says:
"Very well. Does anyone disagree with your classmate?"
Another student raises her hand.
"I think he is right, but not completely. Technology has certainly helped us, but it is still not enough because it has not made everything in our lives easier. It still needs to advance much further."
[Dr. Gami] replies:
"Good answer. Does anyone else have a different opinion?"
[Solar] replies:
"I believe technology has completely destroyed the environment and has not truly benefited humanity at all."
Everyone in the lecture hall is shocked by her answer.
In one corner of the auditorium, a surveillance camera records everything. Inside the security room, a guard is monitoring every classroom in the institute. He is shocked by what the student has said.
He immediately grabs his radio and says:
"There is a rebel. What should we do?"
A voice answers from the other side:
"Understood. I'll inform the doctor."
[Solar] continues:
"Technology has damaged the human nervous system. People have become extremely lazy. They can no longer do anything or even think for themselves. Everything now depends entirely on technology. The environment has been completely destroyed. Hunting no longer exists, and nothing remains that allows us to live naturally. Even oxygen is no longer completely natural-it has become artificial oxygen that is constantly produced and funded. Haven't you noticed that the trees are beginning to wither? Only a few remain. If all the trees disappear, everything will collapse. And if the trees collapse, do you know what will happen? Natural oxygen will disappear from the planet, and we will survive only on artificial oxygen filled with synthetic particles and molecules. Eventually, this will damage our respiratory system."
[Dr. Gami] listens to [Solar] with his head slightly lowered, impressed by her words.
The students whisper among themselves.
"What is this idiot talking about?"
[Solar] continues:
"If our respiratory system is destroyed, we will eventually die because it is one of the body's vital systems. Haven't you noticed that even the rain has become polluted? It falls during the wrong seasons. Haven't you noticed that temperatures rise to extreme levels and then suddenly drop below freezing? Does that seem normal to you in a healthy environment?"
[Dr. Gami] says:
"You speak with great courage, young lady. If we think about it logically, your words make a great deal of sense. However, we cannot call anything absolutely right, nor can we call anything absolutely wrong. Most things contain both truth and error."
Suddenly, everyone hears a knock on the auditorium door.
[Dr. Gami] says:
"Come in."
The institute's principal enters with several security guards.
He says:
"[Solar], come to my office immediately."
The other students are shocked.
[Dr. Gami] says:
"Very well, [Solar]. Please follow the principal."
After [Solar] leaves, [Dr. Gami] continues speaking.
"Our research has advanced significantly, especially in epidemiology, microbiology, and infectious diseases. A new virus has recently been discovered-a virus humanity has never encountered before. We know nothing about it. We do not know its characteristics, its DNA, how it survives, or anything else about it. It may become a great disaster for humanity. That is why research has already begun to search for answers and possible treatments."
The principal takes [Solar] to his office and scolds her.
"You came here to study, not to debate matters that are far beyond your understanding. Do you realize what could happen if the Organization of Advanced Technology and Precision Research found out about what you just said? It could lead to a disaster."
[Solar] confidently replies:
"I didn't say anything that wasn't true. I simply spoke honestly. Am I no longer allowed to express my opinion?"
The principal angrily replies:
"You are here to study, work hard, and learn about advanced technology, precision research, and biology. That is all you need to know. We do not want minds that step outside the boundaries established by the Organization of Advanced Technology and Precision Research. Understood?"
[Solar] lowers her head and says:
"Yes, sir."
She returns to the lecture hall.
The school day ends, and everyone goes home.
Later, the principal gathers several teachers for a meeting.
He says:
"Some students have begun thinking beyond the limits established by the Organization of Advanced Technology and Precision Research. What should we do?"
[Ms. Shinel] replies:
"My students have never stepped outside those limits. They have followed the guidelines given to us by the organization."
The principal says:
"The biggest problem is that one student from Auditorium A officially crossed those limits. The real issue is that she discussed those ideas directly with [Dr. Gami], who is himself a member of the Organization of Advanced Technology and Precision Research."
Everyone is shocked.
At that moment, [Dr. Gami] enters the meeting room.
Everyone immediately stands up and bows respectfully.
[Dr. Gami] says:
"I am impressed by this institute...
Truly impressed."
