Haha you thought I was done with this book but I'm not

I walked into the doctors off with Luke to make sure I was pregnant. We sat and waited. Fuck I'm nervous. I tapped my foot anxiously waiting for the doctor to call me and Luke in.
"Ms. Harrington," a nurse called out. Luke and I stood up and walked over to the nurse. He took my hand and squeezed and I sat in a chair. The doctor did some tests and shit.
"Okay I will be right back," he said smiling.
Luke came over and kissed me.
"I love you," He said. I smiled and said
"I thought you "word before love" me," I said raising an eyebrow. I pulled out my ring from under my shirt because it was on a chain. Luke kissed and whispered, "soon love." When I put my ring away the doctor came back with a frown on his face.
"I am sorry to say but you are not pregnant."
I looked at Luke and half smiled. So did he. At least there won't be a big scandal. I got up out of my chair and walked with Luke. He took my hand and squeezed it.
"I still love you," he said wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
