"O-kay."

I let him down and he ran off upstairs.

I rolled my eyes at August and picked the red bow up off the ground.

"Don't forget the cupcakes." I brushed passed him hard.

"Don't fuck with me. Auggie the only little boy up in this motha-fucka. I'm fucking grown ass man." He followed behind me as I threw the bow away.

"No don't you fuck with me!" I yelled. "You a grown man? Fucking act like it. I am so sick of your black ass. For over 8 years I have put up with your constant bitch fits and I'm done." I slammed the garbage down.

"You already made that known. You wished you could've spent 8 years with Nate instead. Cause the nigga that sacrificed his fucking life to bend over backwards for your ass ain't good enough."

"You're right. You're not. Because all you bring me is constant misery and stress. Sometimes I wish I didn't even go in the bathroom that day. Boy how different my life would have been." I got my lunch out the fridge.

"And how different my life would've been if I never came back after I let yo ass go the first time. But now here I am trying to be a good man for you and my daughter, I'm stuck with your fat old ass."

"There it's settled. We both made mistakes." I grabbed my brief case and left.

I sat in my car for a minute just thinking about the fight me and Aug had. My role was hormones and being annoyed by his behavior. His role was emotions.

I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. We were both wrong. I loved August with all my heart everybody knows that, and I for damn sure, everybody knows he loves me more than anything.

I contemplated apologizing, but I looked at the clock. I didn't have time. I needed to go check on Tiggy at the hotel, then go to work. I backed out my drive way and was off.

-----------

"Tiggy." I came in the hotel room looking for her. I always checked on her before I went to work and when I got off. We still weren't able to locate her a sufficient enough apartment in Savannah, but I was looking for places. I just wanted to make sure whatever we got her, she was safe.

"Tiggy." I looked around the hotel room. The bed looked freshly gotten out of and I heard the water running in the bathroom. She must be taking a shower.

"Tiggy." I knocked on the bathroom door. "I gotta go to work just stopping by to make sure you okay. You hear me?" I listened closely at the door.

There was no answer.

"Tiggy." I knocked harder, still no answer. My heart started to race. It could be nothing but in these types of  situations it could be anything. I opened the door to an empty bathroom with the shower running. But her clothes and underwear were on the floor.

Something was wrong I could sense and feel it. I got my phone out and called Chad, facing the empty shower. I looked behind the door no one was there.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Chad get the Police to the W."

"Why what's wrong?" He asked concerned.

"Long story. And I feel like something is wrong. Just do it."

I hung up my phone and went back into the room and what I saw horrified me.

"Tiggy." I started breathing heavy. She was completely naked and badly bloodied and bruised all over little body.

Trey the man behind all this held his arm around her neck and pointed the gun at her temple.

The closet door was open which let me know they were hiding in there when I came in.

"Call them and tell them nothing's going on." Trey demanded of me.

"I'm not going to do it. Let her go." He cocked his gun at her temple.

"Do it or Imma blow her brains out?"

I looked at Tiggy with the blood filled tears in her eyes as she silently begged for her life.

"Why are you doing this to her? She did nothing to you."

"She did. She's trying to leave me like everybody else in my life. Now stop asking me questions bitch and do what I asked you." He yelled.

"Just do it Amb. Please." Tiggy cried.

I got out my phone.

"Put it on speaker." He demanded.

I dialed back Chad's number.

"Amb what's going on?" Chad answered.

"Uh..." I looked at them. "Nothing. False alarm."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, yeah. Sorry to even do that. I'm on my way to the office."

"Aight. Bye."

"Bye." We hung up.

The next thing I know a shots rang out.

"Amb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Tiggy screamed at the top of her lungs. And as I looked down at myself, Tiggy wasn't the only one bleeding.
