Chapter 22 (Jaxon)

The number you are trying to call, is currently busy at the moment, please try late—

I hanged up.

I know she is cancelling my calls.

And to be very honest—

I deserve this treatment.

“Jaxon, I have asked my team to remove those photos and news but I guess you will have to—” Xavier stops when he saw me staring into the phone.

“What happened? Is she still not picking up? Try texting her?” He shrugged.

“Wow, Xave.” I clapped.

“Excellent idea…”

“Don't you think I tried that!”

“I have been texting her since the moment I received her breakup text!”

“But all I receive is screened calls and ignored messages!”

I huffed while Xavier just rolled his eyes and poured himself scotch.

“Then, try calling Mia.” Taylor entered the room. “And Xavier, please pour me some of that too, I need that badly as we are dealing with a whining Boyfriend.”

He sat next to Xavier.

“Correction. Whining Ex-boyfriend.” Xavier said.

They both started laughing.

“Fine, laugh at me! I will also laugh when your girl would ignore your calls!”

“Oh, please, I would never be that whipped.” Xavier shrugs.

I rolled my eyes and turned to Taylor.

“And Taylor, Mia is 8! How can I call her and patch things up with her Kiki!” I threw a cushion at him.

“Don't forget Jax, if it wasn't for that 8 years old girl, then you wouldn't have got your Goddess in the first place.” Taylor reminded me.

Oh yes, Mia is the one who brought us together.

“You are right, I should call Mia.” I took my phone and opened Mia's Instagram which Kiara has given to her to talk to me.

“That's a stupid idea, guys.” Xavier said from his laptop.

I ignored him and called Mia. I know she might be up.

After three rings, she picked up.

“Hey, my Munchkin—wait Kiara?”

“Of course, it will be me! Do you really think after that stunt you pulled, I will even allow you to talk to my Little Fairy?!”

She screamed at the screen.

Dang, she looks so damn hot—oh no, Jaxon, pure thoughts only. You are still on her hit list.

“Goddess—

“Don’t ‘Goddess’ me!” she snapped, adjusting the phone like she was ready for war. “Go call your actress girlfriend!”

“Firstly, she is not my—”

“Oh really?” she cut me off. “Because the entire world saw your hand very comfortably placed on her waist!”

“Kiara, listen to me—”

“No, you listen to me, Mr. Publicity Stunt!” she leaned closer to the screen. “Didn’t I tell you before getting into this relationship that I don’t do this nonsense? Ya main ne sapna dekha tha?”
