Chapter 2

Laura's pov

So I just finished maths and luckily it's lunch , I don't think I could stand anymore extremely hard equations , that's what I get for being put in all the high classes . Walking down towards the lunch hall , I passed multiple other students . They seem to be all looking at me for some reason I mean I know I dress differently but come on there's no need to judge me . As I was about to enter the hall a girl with gorgeous ginger hair walks out and I smile at her and she smiles back and goes to walk off as I'm about to do the same , she stops me and starts talking to me . " hey I'm Saffron " she holds out her hand so I take it and shake it while replying , " hi I'm Laura " . " you seem like a cool girl so I wanted to know if you wanted to hang after school at the local diner " she asks so I reply , " yeh sure , I'll be there after school right ? " , " yeh " she replied,  " okay I'll be there see yeh " and with that I walked into the lunch hall looking for a blonde haired boy.

As I looked across the hall I saw his mop of hair sitting with his back facing me , so I walked closer , I started to notice that theres a bunch of boys sitting around him listening to ross talk about something I can't quite hear . So when I got close enough I taped his shoulder and he turned around and smiled at me , with the full set of white teeth , which just sparkles so I gave a smile back . He moves up a seat and let's me sit , then I notice all his friends staring at me and so did he . " oh guys this is Laura , shes new here and were friends so you guys are her friends okay " ross starts talking to them . They seem to all listen to him I don't understand why but hey I'm not judging . They all introduce themselves to me by shaking my hand and saying there names , there's so many and I can't quite remember all of there names and who's who , but oh we'll theres obviously Ross then Sam , Jake , Cole , Reece , Isaac , Colin , Matt , and some others but I don't remember what there names are , oh we'll . They start talking about movies so I zone out a little until I hear something that attracts my attention enough to actual speak in the convocation.

" have you guys watched Romeo Juliet 1968 version yet " ross asked ,everyone just rolled there eyes and replied saying no and I was the only one that said " yeh . "

They instantly all looked at me , " we'll I've seen it , it's the best movie ever , so romantic ." They still all have gobsmacked faces on so I give a gentle smile and ross starts to agree with me

" I know right , it's so beautifully made , the way they sacrifice themselves to be together , and that they would rather die together then rather live without the other , doesn't it make you think about love as in it really is the most powerful emotion " after that I smiled at him , "I agree completely i mean they were together for such a small period but they were so deeply in love together they didn't care they wanted to be together" me and ross just kept having our own convocation until someone coughed to get I think Ross's attention . Ross turned around to face a boy with brown hair and I would say looked a tiny bit like ross , he looks a bit younger maybe a year younger then us. Ross spoke , " hey Ryland what's up bro " the boy I'm guessing called Ryland

"nothing mate just got away from savannah so I thought I would come hang with you " ross smiled and said " sure bro , Laura this is my younger brother Ryland " as he said that I put my hand out and Ryland shook it while Ross said " Ryland this is my friend Laura she's new here " . Ryland spoke ," hi nice meeting you " so I replied , " same to you " .

After lunch I headed back to lessons but they didn't last long until the end of the day so I headed out of class but once I did I saw ross leaning there against the lockers acting all macho .

" hey sugar what you doing here " I asked him ,  "I was waiting for you to see if you wanted a lift home , not sure if you drive " . I smiled up at him knowing that it was such a sweet gesture , kinda gives you goose bumps ,

"aww ross that's sweet but I drive , so my cars In the parking lot , you wanna walk together there " I asked . " humm sure " . As we walked we got to Ross's car and I examined it , i paced back a forth looking at it , I could see confusion in Ross's eyes but the next thing I said shook him.

" ford shelby GT500 , all - aluminium , supercharged 5.4L V8 must crank out a least 550hp right " I said while looking up at him , " yeh " he replied with a shaky voice , " but how did you know that " he asked.

BOYS ... LORD HELP THEM

" we'll I know a little about cars and yours is gorgeous by the way " I tell him , then he smiles brightly at me .  " ain't she a beauty" he said which made me think that he might actually be in love with his car .

" see that 1957 ford thunderbird over there " I said pointing towards the cherry red vintage car . He just nods . " we'll that's me " I clarified . " so you live opposite me now " I just smiled and nodded at his words , "we'll I guess i will see you soon new neighbour " and with that being said he entered his car waved one last time and drove off . As I head towards my car I remembered that I've got to go meet Saffron at the diner so off I drive towards the diner which is so my type of restaurant .

As I entered the diner , my eyes traveled , taking in the whole restaurant . The walls were soft baby pink and certain walls had pink squares on it , pictures dominated the walls . The booths were bright red and looked oh so comfy . Right in the corner was a vintage juke box that made the place even more better . My eyes darted around looking at the booths searching for Saffron . Finally I found her and she was with two other girls . One had black hair which hang down the whole of her back , the other girl had dirty blonde hair the was down to her ribs just a bit shorter then the first girls hair . I walked towards them , while I was walking , saffron looked up and smiled at me while she slid along the booth so that there was room for me to sit , so I sat and smiled up at the other two girls who were in front of me .

First the dirty blonde haired chick stuck get hand out and said , " hi I'm Natalie but people call me Nat . I shook her hand and smiled then the black haired girl stuck out her hand and said " I'm Emily by the way " I took her hand and smiled back . " nice to meet you two , I'm Laura " and they smiled back . We chatted for a good 10 minutes until saffron , changed the subject .

" so I saw you at lunch with Ross Lynch what's up with that " then both Emily and Natalie joined In . " yeh we wanted to know about that too " they both said at the time . " Urmmm nothing were friends "
" okay sure " all three said at the exact same time . We all just looked at each other and started laughing , I think I've found my girl group of friends . We piped down a bit after the waitress said to quiet down a little . "What's up with ross anyway I mean everyone bows down to him like he's royalty ", they all just look at me like I'm a crazy women on a rampage until Emily spoke , " don't you know "
"Know what " I replied
" he's practically famous at school and pretty much in the whole city " saffron said
" what for " I asked honesty so confused
" he's the best street racer in the city , plus he's a total hottie " Nat said
" really street racing ?" I asked because we'll I didn't know they did street racing here." We'll this just got interesting " I said with a smirk on my face .
All three of them leaned In and at the same time said " why "
I replied while leaning in too . " we'll because coincidently , I used to street race in the city I used to live in ."

They all had completely shocked faces on , which made me laugh , then they snapped out of it and smiled . They all looked at each other them at me ." Wanna go see how good ross actually is ? " with that leaving saffrons lips I jumped up and said...

" let's go ".
