PIPER

She was singing the same song over and over and she didn't even know that she knew the lyrics to it. "Tale old as time. True as it can be... Barely even friends, then somebody bends unexpectedly. Just a little change. Small, to say the least. Both a little scared, neither one prepared. Beauty and the beast. Ever just the same, ever a surprise, ever as before, ever just as sure that the sun will rise. Tale old as time, tune as old a song. Bittersweet and strange, finding you can change and learning you were wrong. Certain as the sun rising in the east. Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme, beauty and the beast. Tale old as time, song as old as rhyme. Beauty and the beast..."

Her heart thudded wildly as she thought about the kiss they shared. It was beautiful. It added colour to her dull, grey world.

For the whole week that the curse (although Piper almost considered it a blessing) was on them, they sang duets. Annabeth turned out to be most familiar with songs from the Little Mermaid, which saddened Piper because she couldn't help but think of how the movie would remind her of Percy.

After the jinx ended, they finally felt like they could breathe again. It's annoying, having to only sing Disney songs instead of talking. But the first thing they did was get together and laugh about it.

After what was probably 10 minutes of doing so, Piper couldn't help but ask a question that had been on her lips for so long.

"Annabeth, w-will you... Will you go on a-" she stammered out.

"Date?" Annabeth interrupted, and Piper nodded. "Of course I will, Beauty Queen!" she replied, and stooped her into another kiss. One that was just as good as the first, if not better.

Eventually they organised an amazing date where they will go into the forest (Annabeth wanted to go to the beach at first, but Piper immediately denied the offer), then have a walk. They would talk for a while, then come back and teach each-other combat skills. Most wouldn't consider that romantic, but they were elated. But that wasn't the best part... They were nervous about their first date, so they organised to make it a triple-date. So basically, it would be them, Will & Nico and Katie & Emma. It would be a chance to get to know two girls they hoped to be friends with, and Will thought that Nico really needed "An opportunity to be social, for once." And so Nico requested that he have one of his half-sisters there, "For moral support." Sadly Hazel wasn't available, so Katie was the only one left.

Piper was so excited about the date. So excited that she completely over-looked the fact that Hazel wasn't coming.
