"Who are you? Shouldn't you be doing your chores?" A stupid boy asks and I turn on him

"Things have changed" I hiss at him

"The king will hear about this" he tells me and I laugh, he takes a step back

"What's so funny?" He asks nervously

"You. Don't you know who I am" I say stepping closer while he takes another step back

"Who are you?" He asks timidly

"I'm the princess and I'm in charge now" I laugh and he suddenly gains courage and lounges for me but is hit in the head by a saucepan by someone

I turn to look who did it and saw a girl round about my age standing there with an annoyed expression on her face

"Boys" she mutters rolling her eyes

"Hello, who are you?" I asks curious

"My names Evelyn" she tells me dropping the saucepan

"I'm Crimson" I answer, while poking the boy with my foot

"What do we do with him?" She asks me

"This" I say and with a touch of my foot, he turns to dust

"Wow" she comments

"Your cool, want to join me?" I ask and a grin spreads across the face faster than the black spread over Europe and Asia

"Yes!" She agreed enthusiastically

"We'll come with me" I tell her

"Where are we going" she asks me after a while

"HQ, why did you hit him with a saucepan?" I question randomly

"Because that's what I was holding" she answers

"Why were you holding it?" I ask her, and she looks at me, I choose to ignore the looks purpose m

"Because I was going to put water in it" she tells me

"Why a saucepan? Why not a pot?" I ask and she looks like she's about to kill me

"It's the lightest thing in the kitchen" she replies

"So why did you hit him with a saucepan?" I ask again and she just shakes her head and walks faster but she soon realises that she has to follow me because she doesn't know where we're going

"Where's HQ?" She asks impatiently

"You'll see" I say deciding to keep it a mystery

Truth be told I actually don't know where HQ is either, I'm just waiting to see where we end up

My legs are tired from walking

I mentally face palm, I can fly. Why didn't I do that before?

"Not fair!" Evelyn shouts as I lift off into the air

I just laugh, but it's her turn when I slam into a tree, how did I not see that?

Eventually I came across an abandoned  farm

"Here we are" I announce and Evelyn nearly faints from happiness

Once we are settled in the living room thing

"Ever heard of the Black Death?" I ask randomly

"No what is it?" She replies sitting up

"Was.In the early 1330s a plague started in China, by October 1347 it had spread to Europe and Western Asia. The following August a Italian ship docked in Sicily, everyone on it was already dying off the plague, it spread across the countries surrounding. It was spread by traders, you know why it was so bad?" I inform her

"Why?" She asks

"The disease came from fleas, who lived in rats, jumping on to people. In the Middle Ages they had bad hygiene, everything about the way they lived attracted rats. They didn't think about hygiene, they thought it was how they smelled, they blamed it on the Jewish. They thought it was a punishment from God, a group whipped themselves publicly in every town in the hope to fix their sins but it just made it worse" I reply and her eyes widened

"It killed a third of Europe's population" I add before falling asleep

"Great. I'm going to have nightmares now" I hear Evelyn complain before I fully asleep.

I like Evelyn she's... Different
